If I'm fortunate to get past the first two legs alive I'm making my stand in The Hallandale with Duke of Hamburg. He was an unlucky 5th a few weeks back. All he needs is a better trip and if he gets the trip I think he gets his picture taken after the race.

I might get burned leaving Malt Magic off the ticket. However at some point in these multis you have to take a stand against certain horses.
I agree with everything you said, not to mention that it's Malt Magic's first time on synthetic, although it seems he's training well over it.
I just think his omission from my ticket is going to worry me a bit.
My top choice is probably Aggie's Engineer, but I'll probably cover Booted as well. I'm not sure if the rider change to Gomez will be enough to improve the under-achieving Medzedeekron.

You can SCRATCH #6 A Rose for You from the Barbara Fritchie... LRL 9th... Talked to Trombetta and she has a fever.

Santa Anita 5th race is a real skullbuster. Do you think this race stays on the grass? They had rain today and with the crossover from grass to dirt back to grass could present a problem if the course is still wet.

If it stays on grass I have it narrowed to 3 G's Heavenly Union who has prior experience on the downhil course and cuts back this time to 6 1/2.
7. L.A Devine who improved a lot in career start two and gets Bejarano today.
12. Dextera who raced well in sprints when she was running in Germany. Her US debut was good and she might like cutting back to sprinting. 13. Indian Pride is by a top win early sire and is trained by a successful win early trainer. She's been working at a steady clip since November and looks like she is fit and ready to run a good race.

As far as the first leg goes, I don't see the addition of blinkers to Fascinatin' Rhythm as any thing more than a desperation play by Small. She's over her head here. Access Fee would be my choice and I'd add Royal Michele - prefers the off going but Mtr shippers don't bother me in the least here and while it's a huge step up, think she'll relish the added panel. Gotta use Seventh Street while she'll take the lion's share of action, another one that needs to prove herself over the fast going. The fossil that Halsey chose to navigate Dream Rush makes her even more of a toss for me, and I'll pass on Dutrow as well.

1,3,8 for me

If it stays on grass, I agree with the 3 and 7, but am starting to like the 10 more and more. Breeding is good for the turf, she's knocked head with some really talented fillies and Rosario takes over. It's O'Neil again, too...it reminds me a little of a the move he made with Mark S the Cooler last month.
He ran poorly in some Grade 1s, and when he moved him from the synthetic to turf last month (with Rosario aboard, I believe) he loved it.

I've completely given up trying to figure out maidens over the downhill course - If it stays on...Deepest leg for me - using 3 G's Heavenly Union, 4 Ruby Lane, 5 Unknown Heat, 6 Coracao Beijo, 7 L.A. Devine, 8 Successful Friend, 10 Black Magic Mama, and 12 Dextera if she draws in...
As of now I'm:

1,3,8//5,6//4,5//4,5//3,4,5,6,7,8,10(12) = 168.00/(192.00)

You're right about Mark S The Cooler. He ran a smasher going a mile on the grass on 1/10. Same trainer, owner and the move to Rosario. That one look like he might have a future running on grass.

It's obvious the connections thought highly of Black Magic Mama. You have a good angle. I think I'm going to put this race down and wait till scratches come out.

DON'T JUST READ THE BLURBS.. Be sure to look at the patterns on the sheets as you read the written analysis. Understanding the patterns and development/regression styles is the key to identifying the bets and bets-againsts...

Very nice payoff today for that sequence, today.
The 3 in the final leg was my 2nd choice before the race came off the turf, so I'm sure I wasn't the only person that tossed him.

This was a nice call. Got a much better trip this time around.

My Magna 5 wager died quick. I had 3,4,8 in leg A. I had the winners of the last three legs. Duke of Humberg finally ran a good race. I made out pretty well with him in exotics.

A bad wagering day for me today. I had all the winners of Aqueducts' late pick 4 on my tickets. Unfortunately I did not all 4 winners on the same ticket.
I missed hitting the early Big A pick 4 has I let a friend talk me off of Holly Time. That was no biggy but $190 would have been nice to add to the account.

Hopefully the Laurel race will be a bit easier next week.

Sadly, the Laurel race is trouble for me every week. Nice to see a bit more discussion about the Magna 5 this week. Hope for the same next week.
