not enough obviously as the just signed for a second season, you may need more Pepto!

Didn't Serena's Song have a more ambitious campaign as a three year old?

Why just through the summer? I'm looking at the entire 3yr old campaign.. not half a year..

Heaveny Prize comes to mind.. Serena's Song also beat males twice as a 3yr old..

Serena's Song beat Tejano Run in the Jim Beam. And beat a very good Heavenly Prize in the Beldame.
Tejano Run was not exactly a top horse when Serena's Song beat him. He was beaten double digit lengths in the Risen Star stakes by the mighty Beavers Nose in his prior start. And in his subsquent start - he was 3rd to Wild Syn in the Bluegrass ... albeit ahead of Thunder Gulch.

The race she beat Heavenly Prize didn't get a huge figure.

Excellent Meeting was an outstanding 2yo and the stronger part of the favored entry in the Kentucky Derby. Three Ring was also pretty decent - she was 3rd to them in the BC Juvie Fillies.

I'd give Serena's Song an edge in competition beat .. and I'd rate her overall a little better than Silverbulletday ... but Silverbulletday was WITHOUT question a better 2yo - and was atleast as good through the summer of her 3yo season.

Speaking of Serena's Song, Pletcher is using her unraced 3YO as a workmate for Take the Points.

Excellent Meeting's last 5 Beyers coming into the Derby were 100-101-108-96-106 ... four straight Graded stakes wins and a half length loss to Silverbulletday.

General Challenge were 93-91-95-95-108 .. he won the Santa Anita Derby in his most recent race - but was beaten by Kimberlite Pipe when 5th in the Louisianna Derby two back.

EM was the stronger part of the entry in my opinion - and she certainly ran the much better race of the two. That's all I said though ... I never said she was a better horse overall.

Excellent Meeting was eased early on in the Preakness at 6/1 next out. Never quite the same after that race.

.
You're being dismissive of Serena's Song beating Heavenly Prize.. then turn around and praise Silverbulletday for facing Three Ring and Excellent Meeting

Heavenly Prize and Lakeway are a great tandem ... my only point was that she beat them when they weren't at their absolute best.

Heavenly Prize and Lakeway at their best are certainly better than EM and TR at their best

I thought it was between Maple and Solis actually. I was concerned that Romero was getting votes for all the accidents and crap he did to himself over the years. I'd read articles in support of Randy and they would devote 3/4ers of the article to all the bones he broke. I am glad Maple got in. I thought folks would have long forgotten him. But look up his name in wikopedia. Very impressive. Now Gomez I think is eligible. Then Johnnie V. Come to think of it we might get to Rudy Rodriguez soon, heck maybe even Maylan Studart might squeeze in there too.

The hall of fame is a seriously flawed HOF when compared to other sports. Whether SBD or Sky Beauty is better should be immaterial. They should be compared to the hall of fame standard which both certainly exceed. The process which puts in jockeys that are still riding seems silly especially since virtually every NY or CA jockey eligible with any standing is elected. Not to mention the annual steeplechase elections. The real tests which will likely make induction to the HOF as a horse a virtual travesty is when the Barbaros and Smarty Jones' of the world are put in despite having inferior credentials to virtually everyone else elected in history.

The problem is simple- allowing only 2-3 horses in a year is ridiculous considering there's 30,000 possibilities a year, versus what, 20 new riders and 10 trainers a year that could potentially qualify for the HOF? Just open it up a little to the correct ratios of human to horseflesh and everything will even out.

It will never be a serious hall of fame until they start inducting tvg analysts.
