THEY SCRATCHED THE 3 in the 7th?!?!?!?

WTF. NYRA has been very poor about posting changes properly. Now I'm stuck with a damn 3/5 shot I don't even want.

It's amazing how much better you can do when you can just sit down and focus. This is the first week in 9 years I haven't had to go to work, and really all I've done all week is get up every morning & get a coffee, pull up the form, review tapes, pick the races I want to bet, and wait to see if the odds I'm looking for are there. Normally I would just fire at just about anything during non-work hours to satisfy my gambling needs... now I can be a lot more selective.

super job Phil, I pass you the crown

It's always easier to wager when work doesn't get in the way. Congrats on a great week!

p.s., those trials made it a bit tough last night IMO

The Trial races are very tough early in the meet. They get easier as the 2YO's sort themselves out. One thing to keep in mind, Asmussen wins over 40% of these events (his % will be lower, since he sends out multiple uncoupled runners in each.) My strategy- multirace wagers, if you have a situation last night where there was only 1 winner in the field, try to beat him if at all possible because almost everyone will single that horse. When they have multiple winners in a heat then you can feel more comfortable just using those versus the non-winners and firsters. I rarely bet anything in-race on them though.
