Brilliant analysis Galileo. Unless we all instantaneously grow gills and become impervious to UV rays, we're not going to "adapt" to a climate shift. We'll be dead. But hey, there'll be more beaches! Everybody loves sand!

Danzig, which scientists say global warming isn't happening?

More Than 650 International Scientists Dissent Over Man-Made Global Warming Claims
December 11, 2008
Scientists Continue to Debunk "Consensus" in 2008
Over 650 dissenting scientists from around the globe challenged man-made global warming claims made by the United Nations Intergovernemntal Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and former Vice President Al Gore. This new 231-page U.S. Senate Minority Report report -- updated from 2007's groundbreaking report of over 400 scientists who voiced skepticism about the so-called global warming "consensus" -- features the skeptical voices of over 650 prominent international scientists, including many current and former UN IPCC scientists, who have now turned against the UN IPCC. This updated report includes an additional 250 (and growing) scientists and climate researchers since the initial release in December 2007. The over 650 dissenting scientists are more than 12 times the number of UN scientists (52) who authored the media-hyped IPCC 2007 Summary for Policymakers.

The chorus of skeptical scientific voices grow louder in 2008 as a steady stream of peer-reviewed studies, analyses, real world data and inconvenient developments challenged the UN and former Vice President Al Gore's claims that the "science is settled" and there is a "consensus." On a range of issues, 2008 proved to be challenging for the promoters of man-made climate fears. Promoters of anthropogenic warming fears endured the following: Global temperatures failing to warm; Peer-reviwed studies predicting a continued lack of warming; a failed attempt to revive the discredited "Hockey Stick"; inconvenient developments and studies regarding CO2; the Sun; Clouds; Antarctica; the Arctic; Greenland; Mount Kilimanjaro; Hurricanes; Extreme Storms; Floods; Ocean Acidification; Polar Bears; lack of atmosphieric dust; the failure of oceans to warm and rise as predicted.

~~~then there are the scientists who say it's not man made global warming.
that one is on the 31k u.s. scientists who say that.
that's just a couple examples. if you do a search, a lot of results come up.
Very Good,Ziggy! Just imagine the outrage if I'd posted this piece.
Global Warming is a nice little cottage industry spawned by yokels like
Gore. It boggles my mind about the numbers of people buying this line. Conservation is great, but this going green crap will bankrupt economies....with no appreciable advantage!
Global warming hysteria is the closest thing to a State sanctioned religion this country has ever seen. This planet has been warming and cooling in cycles since the dawn of time. It will do what it's gonna do regardless of mans actions. We've been emerging from the last ice age for thousands of years, of course it's getting warmer. Pollution is a more serious threat. One large volcanic eruption will do more to pause global warming than painting our roofs white. I'm thinking of starting my own carbon credit company to compete with Gore's.
There are a whole group of "scientists"
that dont believe evolution occurs either.
If there are people that can look at the numbers we
have over the past 50 years and say that the avg.
temp. of our planet's atmosphere has not risen...
Dont ask them about numbers.
Why is it that the knee jerk by conservatives was
first, the earth's atmosphere is not getting hotter.
Followed by, ok, its getting hotter, but its not our fault.
It would have more convincing and consistent if conservatives
would have just said its rising but its not our fault.
And yes we all know about the cycles of warm periods followed
by ice ages. Something is speeding this up apparently.
