The FLakes posts their replays minutes after the completion of the race. ANd they keep a long archive up for viewing too.

I'll be watching HRTV. No need to turn on a garbage channel like ESPN for Belmont coverage.

It only took'em 3 minutes to gimme some Kenny Mayne action and 7 to get me a 7f allowance. Who are these people and what have they done with ESPN on a non-Derby or BC day?

I take it this 1 1/16 turf race coming up is the one Nicanor didn't draw into. Did those 4 scratches enter hoping for either a harder surface than it ended up being or even a switch to main track? How close was Nic to making it? If that is it, I would love to know who was supposed to have the mount as Edgar is riding in it.

Hey they had the sense to get a blurb from Steve Haskin for one of those rerun segments they did. Made my day right there.

Why is the only Belmont Stakes Video on ESPN , a condensed top of the stretch version?

ABC/ESPN ... Where are the high quality videos? Unique camera angles?? ANYTHING WORTH MY DOWNLOAD? The short stretch only view isn't even better than what youtube has up. kind of pathetic considering the technology at their fingertips.

Thankfully Youtube has some nice videos up from users. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6mwG-zvPOlA

No doubt NBC did a much better job with their promotion of the first two jewels.

ABC/ESPN is too busy pushing the NBA playoffs.

Too bad because it was a hell of a race.

Was anyone else highly annoyed by that scroll thing they had on the left hand side of the TV with the results of the previous races (eventhough they left OFF the turf race?) There was like 4 race results that just kept being shown over and over and over... I would imagine a lot of the people watching didnt even know what it was. And they had it up til the horses broke from the gate in the Belmont Stakes. It cut off a lot of view and just looked stupid. Its one thing if there was 100 results to go through, but showing 4 results OVer and Over and Over annoyed the hell outta me.

I never checked the standard feed but since it was off to the side I just assumed it was for the HD feed. Networks don't seem to know what to do with that added area since they can't put anything too important that the viewers on the standard feed won't be able to see. In most cases just putting nothing there would be preferable.
