LOL, Marriott Griffin Gate in Lex which is pretty easy but has a ton of out of bounds and I couldn't keep my driver in the fairway. 3 of the par 5's are kind of a joke. First hole is 440 yards downwind so a par 5 in name only.

What course? That's some excellent ballstriking.

Hanging Rock in Salem, VA. Greens are an absolute b*tch. 6 par 3's, I won 3 of the closest to the pins...and the birdie putts never sniffed the hole.

Not kidding at all doc..just very grainy greens. Very very slow uphill and incredibly fast downhill.

Phil, go to www.frenchlickresort.com and check out the Pete Dye Course. A buddy of mine qualified for the PGA National Club Pro Championship next July that is gonna be held at this course. Look at the yardage and slope from the back tees Look at the scorecard...300 yard par 3

What a joke, that isn't golf. I've been meaning to play the Donald Ross course there for a while. It's about 2 hours from here...

But doesn't a 300 yd par 3 officially eliminate the "long iron" from the game. So if your not hitting a wood off the tee your not getting 2 putts for par. When the PGA starts playing 300 yd Par 3's it will be a dark day for the game.

The Donald Ross course is incredible. Played there on Nov. 1st about 3 years ago. Weather was 70 degrees and perfect. Maybe 10 people on the course so we played at our own pace and just savored the moment. One of the highlights of my golf career (I'm a hacker happy to break 95). Couldn't tell you what I shot that day, really didn't care.
