You are also going to have people who want to punish the whole concept of plastic tracks and the idiocy of the BC for embracing it without any thought.

It's over. It is Horse of the Year, not Horse Of The First Weekend In November. In every sense she has been the horse of the year. Unless the poobahs of racing are suicidal idiots who want to crap on the fans (hmmmm...let's not rule that out), it would be nuts to consider any other horse.

I sincerely doubt she runs again this year. You probably next see her prepping for the Donn. She just won a race she absolutely had no business winning, going all out. Possibly putting aside some top horses on the SoCal plasterboard tracks of yore, who goes out 22 and 4 in a two turn 9f race and still comes home in 12 and 4?

Not too many.

If Moss was smart he'd take the Beldame challenge. But if he was REALLY smart, he wouldn't, because IP is the most likely winner. And at this point the most camp Zenyatta can hope for is holding on the Older F&M title, which is no longer a lock for them. They just need to stick to their boring-ass plan and hope that IP doesn't like the chewed up Tupperware.

So the consensus is she's done for the year because of one tough race? No wonder why this sport is behind bowling and cornhole on espn.

I can see it now...

Once horse racing is done as a sport the fans that are left will switch to Tennis and demand a tournament end after the star has a tough 5-setter in the quarters.

There is no longer any upside, Mr. Pants.

Buy a horse like her and you'll understand.

First, however, you'll have to figure a way to get $10 million dollars.

You have experience with buying 8 million dollar horses? At least get the price right.

If there was a spot? Is there a lack of 1 1/8th stake races in the fall?

I think the race was tough because the 2009 campaign is catching up with her. If I owned her I'd shut her down.

He said something like that on the MSG plus show. Donovan asked him, he responded with " it depends on how she coms out of this and if there was a spot worth running her" Im guessing that means, if Zenyatta comes and joins Icon Project in the Beldame.

He will stretch it out as long as he can. He doesnt get on tv crushing grapes. But I dont think we will see her again this year.

If Zenyatta comes east for the Beldame and beats Rachel and then goes on to win the Breeder's Cup Classic, wouldn't she have to be horse of the year? Not likely to happen (I know) but as great as today is for racing, it cannot possibly have definatively settled the horse of the year question.

In addition to totally dominating her division, she has defeated last year's Belmont winner, and the winners of this year's Derby, Belmont, Travers, Whitney, and Foster, New Orleans, and Oaklawn Handicaps. What more can we ask of her? She has beaten everything in her path this year.

Since Steve will have her at Fair Grounds next year, she will make her bow in the Mineshaft on February 20, with her main early objective being the March 27 Dubai World Cup over the new Meydan course.

You can stop refering to last years Belmont winner as such as they obviously ran a ringer in that race.

I was going to refer to him as last year's Belmont champion, but I figured that would look too suspicious.

If Zenyatta comes to the Beldame Jess nor Rachel will disappoint. He needs the purse money to help pay the 7 not 8mil he bought her for!

DWC? I think they plan on keeping her off synthetics. Right?

There is a better shot of Rampillion winning the Arc than Zenyatta leaving CA.
