Yeah Joe, it was a sh*tty time for that kinda call. But you're right, Kim was outplaying her in every aspect.

It looked like she was holding a ball and saying "I will shove this f*cking ball down your throat"

They showed the replay and you can read her lips: "I'm gonna take this ball and shove it in your ****ing mouth" or something very similar. It was a bad call, but she's a bully who couldn't take being outplayed. Good riddance.

Not a shame at all for Clijsters. She was wonderful and this amazing comeback continues. Par for the course for Serena Willimas. Shes a whiney, disrespectful bitch. Kind of like Andy Roddick but only really good.

That was a horrible call and certainly the match wasn't over at 15-30. It didn't help that the line judge looked like an oompa loompa.

del Potro is embarrassingly bad today. I've never seen Federer serve this terribly and delPo still hasn't made a dent on Fed's serve.

That's more like it. If there's one chink in Federer's armor it's that he loses his **** when he has a close call go against him on replay. Him not being able to let go the 30-30 forehand at 5-3 was the turning point in the second set.

Any way you slice it, whoever plays in the final will provide a great match.

I lean towards Fed and Del Potro, and will take a stand that Del Potro wins the final.
Great call Tim. It certainly helped that Fed made 62 errors and couldn't get a first serve in all night, but delPo showed a lot of heart and played a brilliant 3 1/2 sets to earn this title. A terrific end to grand slam tennis in '09.

Fed doesn't really want to fight(he wants to dominate.) Once he realizes someone is playing up to his level, he almost always starts pouting and almost loses interest. Like he said(when asked about the 5th set,) "He got ahead 3-0, and that was it. Pretty obvious what happened." That's really the only weakness he has ever had. His ways have always been that of the rich kid with manners.

Thanks Joey. Great end as right. Enjoyed this match very much. I watched the first set at work and was afraid this thing would be over by the time I got home. LOL, went to after 8. I like this guy Del Potro and hes got a lot of Grand Slams in his future. Cant believe he is still only 20. What a forehand...wow, one of the best I have ever seen. Thats going to hurt a lot of opponents and hes really getting the hang of playing defense too.

I tend to agree. In general, was a little surprised he lost tonight because it was a Grand Slam final but when this match got some legs, it didnt come at all of a shocker. It was pretty evident who wanted this more tonight and who the better player was (tonight). This kid has manners and a huge likeability factor.

I haven't seen this many successful challenges of calls during a match. How often do you have a half dozen calls overturned like this in a grand slam final. It seemed to change the flow of both the 4th and 5th sets. If this was before the "eye" RF would have likely won.
