Am I supposed to have them first? Yes personally third.. this is just for America not the world. Since 9/11 Muslims have had it the worst here. Black women have it real bad for the most part. Gays are allowed to be bashed on tv, church and anywhere and its allowed to be supported. Of course its just my opinion.

Lets see, we are not equal citizens in the eyes of the law (cant get married in the vast majority of states let alone a civil union where you can at least get the benefits). The justice department is still allowed to come up with reports that we are equal to pedifiles and incest. Thats what bothers me even more than the marraige thing.. the majority of americans have no problem equating a man who loves another man to a man who will rape a young boy. Its seen as the same thing to a lot of people (including some of my family members). Its just so bogus and causes hate crimes to occur. Losers take pride in beating the crap out of a gay person cause their jeans are too tight. Its the same as a white guys beating up a black guy cause of skin color, or vise versa. Also lots of people dont think gays should have or be around children. They just passed a damn law in Arkansas saying gays cant adopt. So if you are gay and you want kids.. too bad! There are a lot of problems that straight people who dont know a lot about what goes on just shrug off as "no big deal: Butch lesbians get a lot of hate directed at them also (a friend from college got a black eye and her shirt ripped just cause she walked by a frat house). Gay men have it the worst though. And of course, there are certain parts of the country that are worse about this type of discrimination, and certain parts that are more open minded and accepting.

I expect that Chuck is also the expert when it comes to what Peruvian lesbians think about Scandanvian vegetarians .

There are diffrent types of hate. For instance, I "hate" Tim Tebow, Barry Bonds, anybody who has ever played sports for KU, Brett Favre, Sarah Palin.....etc. But despite that "hatred," I still think those people deserve the same legal rights that I have. The majority of heterosexual people in this country, on the other hand, probably say that they don't "hate," homosexual people, and some may have homosexual friends, but they do want to prevent them from marrying a person of their choice. To me, that smacks of a very different kind of deep-seeded hate than what I feel for Tim Tebow.....and they are both different than the animosity between some people from Puerto Rico and some people from Mexico. For me, the various forms of dislike/prejudice/hate make it ridiculous to say that group A hates group B "more" than group C hates group D. Last edited by miraja2 : 10-21-2009 at 11:37 AM. |
