LOL. Any number has validity given "proper context". I can say unemployment is at zero percent...given the context that everyone that works in my buidling has had a job since yesterday when the survey was taken.

The number that counts is the one given out monthly by the US govt...right or wrong. That is the number Mr. Bush use to tout...before the jobs started going away. Last month, that number was at 9.8%.

This is what the Republicans want me to consider as a viable presidential candidate or even simply the face of their party? As an educated professional mother I am supposed to re-embrace my lost conservative ideals through the leadership of this person? Really??

This victimhoom card is being played waaaaaay too early and her spin doctors have got to cool the rhetoric at least for another two years. By the time 2012 rolls around, she will not only come across as dumb but also as a baby.

i am for Jeb Bush , take away the last name , he is more than viable

Uh... how about the highest life expectency for starters? The pharmaceuticals the rest of the world uses are researched, invented and made here. Medical equipment, not to mention the medical schools themselves: Johns Hopkins just one example.

When a case of Siamese twins is reported, where is the surgery almost always performed to separate them? Here. When world leaders get sick, where do many of them come for surgery? Here.

You can't be that obtuse. I'm certain you are just trying to be sarcastic in favor of your leftist sensibilities. In that case, you probably already believe that idiot Michael Moore, in which case I guess you'll be going to Cuba for any necessary surgery or advanced medical care. Take a number, they'll get to you in around 18 months. While your at it, go to the UK for dentistry too. They're pulling out their own teeth over there because they can't get an appointment -- that's how good socialized medicine is.

Let's increase the demand and decrease the supply, that'll work out real well. How does that happen? Simple. By making everything "free" (note the quotes), every splinter or hangnail will go to the Emergency Room. Hospitals will fill with less severe cases from more vocal and politically protected classes, even those who don't speak English so it's harder to get a medical history. Couple that with putting price caps on medical care, in the hope that hospitals and doctors will operate at a loss, and all of a sudden less potential doctors want to go into medical school. The price caps alone would do that just like the gas station lines in the 70's. Price fixing doesn't work.

We'll soon have Soviet-style lines wrapping around the corner. John Stossel showed this about the Canadian system while he was still working at ABC.

Get a clue -- a leftist arrogant delivery does not constitute a brilliant point. Those who haven't consumed the Obama Kool-Aid aren't buying it. 2010 will be a bad year if you're looking for blue on that election map.

LOL. There is not a single statement of fact in this silly diatribe. Again, I asked you to enlighten me. Try again except this time throw in a fact or two. I know you can do it.

OK, maybe you ARE that dense.

It was full of facts, none of which you want to acknowledge or express a reasoned counterpoint to. That's fine, political messages are much shorter these days anyway, you know, "Hope and Change", "Yes We Can", that sort of thing. I'm sure it worked on you.

The declaration was "The best medical system in the world". That's obviously an opinion, though in this case it is an informed one. So if you reject that statement by having a different opinion, I guess you're not going to see any "facts" in there. Even if I furnished you with statistics, you would magnify the error in any statistical process, or assume a bias is present.

I choose not to expend energy arguing with someone who wishes to follow the Pied Piper. Your mind cannot be changed. You are a commited leftist so enjoy the fruits of the 2008 election while they last.

OK, so you don't think that being able to treat rare conditions like that says anything about the quality of a healthcare system, right?

Joey, have a good day at work. Bundle up tight...its cold up there in Bucks County and you certainly don't want to catch a case of siamese twins.

Doesn't mean Palin is qualified for the presidency -- different issue, but there's little doubt of why the liberals and the press are trying so hard to knock her down -- especially after the election when she really wasn't in the spotlight. The only thing that made David Letterman curtail his Palin jokes was his own scandal.
Trust me, she'll knock herself down.

Just wait until a Republican Primary comes up. Nut gun come flying out of that shell. She fought with McCain's people for 1 reason. Someone else wanted the spotlight. This is not a team player. Can't do it (unless she is the head of the team.) She can try to paint those folks(running his campaign) a certain way, but she's a pathological liar. Not saying they ran a great campaign, but I wouldn't trust a thing she says. She was the one simply telling lies about Oba on the campaign stops. The press(and Oba's people) let it go, but she was simply a liar during those speeches.

National Politics interests her now, because she's involved in it. By now, she will have increased her knowledge a ton. She will have trouble with common knowledge type stuff, though. So, don't be surprised. God forbid someone ask her about sayyyy....Jackie Robinson? Most people in politics will know a little about his struggle to overcome racism. She will say that she isn't that familiar with "her" story. The real easy type questions on the show called Jeopardy? That's a total minefield for her. It's not that she's stupid ,or even uninformed. Her mind won't retain stuff that she finds of no use to her. Their minds are like trash machines, and they decide whether to save the knowledge, or trash it. That's not my opinion. That comes directly from the mouth of a Narcissist (a Narcissist that was asked why his memory quality can vary from photographic to absolutely nothing.) We don't have that choice. So, we remember this trivial type stuff. Even the least of us could bullsht our way through Katie's question with a simple "U.S.A. Today" answer. All this lady could do is lie by saying "Any of them....All of them." Nobody will really seem to care that she lies, because she does it in an entertaining way.....People shouldn't be so quick to dismiss that fake call from Sarkozy, either. You're saying to yourself that anybody should be able to figure out that freak wasn't Sarkozy.....LOL....You got to understand though that these people live for compliments. You can be as fake as you want to with them, and they will not care. If you tell them they are good etc., they are not going to question that messenger's sincerity one bit. She is a Narcissist. That's why she fell for that.
