1235 dropped out of Showvivor today, leaving 1980 showvivors. That's 38% gone the first day.

Oddly, just 24% of the Winvivor players dropped out today. 2086 Winvivor players are left.

Hard to for me to look past Worth a Punt in the 1st--all 5 of his BSF's are better than any of the 15 BSF's posted by the other 5 entries. Stepping down from the MSW's, it looks like he should handle these. I don't see any other standout to go to for Winvivor, and I like the 6-horse race for Showvivor.

I was telling AJ, who insisted that Worth a Punt was the lock of the day, all my wonderful and brilliant reasons for going with my lock Alive for Six in R2.

It's been fun and I shall root for you, Dunbar, and any other DTers who are still alive.

Now go and win this damned thing!

The Winvivor is down to 857, while Showvivor still has 1185.

Winvivor is ranked by win payoff, and the #1 player had a $119.80 payoff either yesterday or today!!

That's crazy! I hope that person had real money on the horse too.

Me too. Looks like there will be about 590 people in Winvivor heading in to Wednesday. Good luck to all still alive.

I had Free Flying Soul for both contests, too. 624 still alive in Winvivor. 1039 in Showvivor.

That's weird, gorvy. I still see 624:

Top 100 WinVivor Handicappers
PLAYERS STILL IN: 624
PLAYERS OUT: 2135 TOTAL PLAYERS: 2759

Ah, now I see the 656--it's on the main SantaAnita web page. I've been looking at the actual contest page under "Top Handicappers", where it says 624!
