So now we're calling Heatseeker a dirt horse because he ran second to a horse that people on DT say would've been a freak on dirt. Got it.

The bottom line is Giant's Causeway has five million-dollar earners, and Swift Temper's the only one who was a bona fide dirt horse. And as much as I like her, she wasn't exactly historically fast.

I never thought I would see the word 'freak' in the same sentence as Tiago.

The point AGAIN was not to laud the horse the second coming of Mr. P.. Giants Causeway has been a better turf stallion to date BUT he can certainly get a quality dirt runner

And my point again is that compared to the height of his fee and the kind of mares he's gotten, he's been a relative failure on dirt. So in the case of City Wolf, with a horse that's going to be 4-1 in a salty maiden field that he's no better than, I'll take the horses that are more likely to be legitimate dirt horses.

I guess your pitching the Stormy Atlantic.. City Wolf has run twice on dirt, I am not saying he would or wouldnt be better on grass just that there is plenty to go on without considering if GCauseway means anything in todays race..

The fav is a cinch away unless...Jerkins to Dutrow you do the math unless one of these FTS's is a Curlin type

If by "freak" you mean a bottom of the exotics filler in real races, then yes, count me in the group of "half the people around here."

He was under Dutrow in his last start when he ran third at 1-1. I don't think Jimmy Jerkens is a guy it's very easy to move up off of.

85 Beyer for Odysseus (and a very pleased Satish Sanan). Indicated on ATR Thursday that they will not necessarily rush him into a stake, though the Sam Davis a possibility.
