Well next year she's gonna be a SIX year old mare, so she should just run in a bunch of prep races and prepare for one big shot in November, right?

The Breeders Cup Turf? Look, I know you don't bet or really follow the sport but come on. The Mile this year was so much better than the Turf in terms of quality it's scary.

While we are at it though, by your line of thinking, I hope to see Zenyatta in the Dubai World Cup and Arc next year. Biggest and richest races, right?

BTW I also think a huge part of Zenyatta's appeal is the style she runs, coming from way off, like a Hollywood screen play would likely be written.
I think many people, especially the common man, do like this. Among diehard fans, I think the "take the race by the throat and crush the spirit of your opponents" types are far more preferred.

I expect Smooth Operator is looking forward to Goldikova and Zenyatta facing off in the Kentucky Derby next year.

No problem with that … as long as the big one in Nov for the GOAT is either the BCT or BCC...

Too long to wait--how about the Sunshine Millions?

Right, because those are the only two races in the world that matter. Keep reaching, hopefully you'll fall off the edge eventually.

BCT should be a walk in the park for the GOAT ... right, Dahoss?

Listen, if Zenyatta had been any good they would have taken her to the Summit of Speed one year and had her run in (and win) every race on the card. They never did that with her, so I can only assume that means that her connections recognized that she was a no-talent mule.

My how a year changes someone's opinion, especially when that year includes a 4-5 campaign and a victory over the greatest horse evar.

With Summer Bird being injured and Quality Road having issues, Blame is right at the top of the handicap division next year.

In America I guess 10f on dirt is the classic distance/surface pairing.

They can't all be great at that though. I mean sure Zenyatta won a lot of 10f dirt races but.....oh wait.....no.....she never even won a single race like that.

Please note:
My ability to like Zenyatta lasted almost 48 hours....before Smoothy turned me into a hater again. His ability to get people to dislike a horse is really quite amazing.

It's just eating away at you that Goldikova's campaigns/legacy are everything Zenyatta's should've been.

Actually, what she needs to do is ship down to GP and run some INFLATED figures to get you drooling, then REFUSE to get in the gate for the CLASSIC (No MAS). Then she could come back he next year, run some more fast figures against plugs, appearing to be a LOCK for the CLASSIC, and fall on her face yet again, with a lesser NO MAS version.

Or version B:

Get beat by the 2nd string in someone's barn, pull a NO MAS for a scheduled big race, get run down by the great Persistently and have all the NAZI Beyerites argue that she's still the best mare in the country. ha ha ha

I vote for the latter option.

Even the most obtuse have a 'feeling stupid yet?" point. Have we reached yours yet, Joey?

Speaking of NO MAS...isn't that what you did after your 0 for 66 performance this summer?

ha ha ha

Quoting Eastie is pretty funny. He's the idiot that thought Get Stormy was a single in the mile. Has he finished the race yet?

Or Version C:

Win the Schaefer, Foster and Whitney and run 2nd in the Jockey Club Gold Cup while the supposed best horse in the country is beating pigs in her backyard, then beat that horse on the square in the race they were prepping her for all year and win HOY.

I choose option C.

It's not worth responding to you anymore. You can't stay on topic, you put words in people's mouths and you'll say anything to prove the point you don't have. You're a miserable douche who can never admit he was wrong about anything.

Have long felt that classic distance runners are superior to sprinters or milers

Apparently the people in charge of purse money for the BC agree...
