Other than 2007 he has been a mediocrity. He makes way to many dumb mistakes, and when things start going bad he panics and creates blow out losses. He gets rattled easily, and is a slightly above average NFL QB.

On the coaches:
Tom Coughlin- I think he gets fired and this is where Cowher ends up.

jason Garrett- I hope he stays so the Cowboys will suck for a while longer

Leslie Frazier- I think he stays.

John Fox-good coach will be head coach next year but probably not in Carolina
Mike Singletary- too late

Tony Sparano- Runs a boring offense which doesn't go well with flashy owners and South Beach. I think he gets fired.

Chan Gailey- I would give him another shot. Team played hard, and who else wants to coach for that cheap owner.

Eric Mangini- I would keep him. They played hard this year and had some nice wins. Look to be turning the corner in a very tough division.

Marvin Lewis- See Buffalo about the owner

Jack Del Rio- Good coach who could probably use a change of scenery, owner to cheap to fire him.
Gary Kubiak- Fired. Makes his team the picture of mediocrity, that team needs a disciplinarian to wake things u

Norv Turner- Has to much talent there to always under achieve. Doesn't help him that his GM is an ass clown who alienates every decent player they have. Fire him

And the coach of the year?

Raheem Morris-Has developed many young players and get them to play hard all the time. I don't care how easy there schedule is, they have over achieved.

All I know is if Lewis isn't gone in Cinci, Bengals fans should have the right to sell back their 2011 season tickets to the team.

I think this was the last straw for Norv, although Smith seems to like having a passive coach that he can push around.

Kubiak's toast. Singletary too. I don't think Coughlin's out unless the Maras are sure they can get Cowher.

Kubiak is more than likely gone next week. Turner also will probably be gone next week. Singletary didn't suprise me with his firing. I think Garrett should be given a chance with the Cowboys. Lewis is another one more than likely gone.

You obviously have no clue what the Bengals were before Marvin. You're not real big on history though I take it. And quite frankly last year was a miracle coaching job by Marvin. They were 4-7 outside division last year...a good year. There is no way he should be fired.

Shut the hell up. Fans shouldn't have to accept incompetence just because the franchise is historically bad. Lewis is a terrible coach and has done a horrendous job this year. He should've been gone after they blew that game against Tampa, then again after the one against New Orleans.

They have a talented roster this year and are 4-11. He still hasn't won a playoff game. He absolutely has to be canned.

Marvin Lewis is a good defensive coordinator.

Exactly.

I want Lovie to be canned, but aint happening for a long time now, gonna get extended after the comedy year this year.

Jack Del Rio should be adios'ed after yesterday's performance against Washington, that was horrendous.

What's unrealistic about thinking a coach who's 0-2 in the playoffs after 8 seasons and went 4-11 with a team that was supposed to win 10+ games this year should be fired? His record and the job he's done this year are abysmal. The only reason he still hasn't been fired is that the owner is a ridiculously cheap prick.

Anyone that thought that team was supposed to win 10 + games this year is delusional.

Ah, so 4-11 is OK and 0-2 in the playoffs in 8 years is acceptable. I can't believe you're even arguing still.

2-14
6-10
4-12
4-12
3-13
7-9
8-8
7-9
3-13
3-13
5-11
3-13

Those were the years in order pre Marvin Lewis...post Marvin

8-8
8-8
11-5
8-8
7-9
4-11-1
10-6
4-11

The 12 years pre-Marvin they had 11 losing seasons and one .500 season. The 8 years with Marving they had 2 winning seasons and 3 .500 ones. He didn't kill it, but they were a much better and more relavant team with Marvin. In his first playoff game his starting qb had his knee torn up in the first series. Whatever. These are the facts and the history of the Bengals.

You shut up.

I argue because I take the time to provide facts which are sorely missing on these boards for the most part. Marvin by any honest estimation improved the Cincinnati Bengals in his time with the team from what they were before he came. Go suck on it ateam.

So, once again, because the team is historically bad, he should keep the job ad infinitum despite zero playoff wins in eight years and just an awful coaching job this year. Mediocrity isn't better than suckiness in the NFL. At least suckiness gets you a high draft pick.

So yeah, as a Bengal season ticket holder, I would much prefer those 8 years with Marvin than the 12 prior from 1991 to 2002 by a large, large margin in fact.

I think Les Miles would look good filling any of these available positions.

HiS coaching job last year was tremendous with a largely untalented team for the most part. I can't name their defensive line, I can't name any defensive back on their team off the top of my head. I can name their two overaged psycho wide receivers however, and yeah he is largely at fault for the failures of the team as he is head coach. Once Sam Wyche left the team has stunk. In his 8 years as coach the team was at least relevant at times which they never were the 12 years prior. The great Jets even had to play them in the playoffs last year. That's how good they were!! I'm not simply convinced how bad a coach he really is. I'm simply not as simple a person as you are either. I didn't become a Miami Heat fan after all!!!!

So how long does he get to keep underachieving and going 8-8 and winning zero playoff games? 5 more years? 10? Sh it, just make him coach-for-life and get it over with. YOU DON'T GET IT, THE BENGALS NEVER USED TO GET IN THE PLAYOFFS AND LOSE IN THE FIRST ROUND EVERY 4 YEARS!!!

You're an idiot if you can't name any of their DBs. Hall and Joseph are one of the best CB tandems in the league. Odom's a beast when healthy on the DL and Peko's good too. Their roster was way better than 4-11 this year and some of the losses they've had are totally inexcusable.
