Think about this for a moment.. do you think either of those companies you mentioned could ever have a better chance for this kind of publicity?

The out-of-pocket cost for either would be minimal but the national exposure, the redefining of their identity as a company (all around good guys, sense of fun, pro-animals... they could spin this so many ways it isn't funny. What moving company even has an identity? If they were approached I don't think it would be a hard sell.)... I mean you can't put a price tag on this kind of thing.

OR forget this, forget the sport having a Renaissance if you will, forget trying new things and involving people and luring new bettors / fans...

It's just that I think it could be so much more and it needs to lose the stigma attached with it... the unshowered old man with the raspy voice, yellowing teeth, tobacco-stained fingers, the frayed coat, the form under one arm and an empty whisky bottle under the other, smelling like urine...

This is the vision people I know think of when I talk about the track.

It only seems to change a little when there's a Triple Crown on the line so, for me, the big mistake is not hanging on to all those potential bettors and fans.

Grab them while we have their attention or it's all lost again.

A horse like Ben's Cat... who could not root for him?

So yes... I like your moving company idea even if it was meant to mock me.

While I was mocking you a little, I was mainly mocking King L. for not putting up his own money to supplement this nice horse to the BC to see how good he was. Instead The King wanted someone else to put up the money.

... and if he wants someone else to he should at least try to make it happen (cause it could)!

Good luck to Ben's Cat this weekend. Such a cool horse!

... and good luck to him again this weekend.

For Golfer and anyone else who thinks I am nuts for suggesting a kickstarter to get him to the BC...
