True it was the Dolphins and true they were lucky but the guy performed in crunch time. Say what you will, and he's easy to be critical of, but I've seen many many worse first games. Karma is powerful, lets see how it translates to the NFL.

To me he looked lost out there like the game was moving way too fast for him. Kind of like a guy that was confident that he could run with the ball but nothing else and looked to run every chance he got.

Sorta like Vick in his Falcon years?

A Week 7 game against a winless team isn't 'crunch time'. Like I said, let's see him help beat a good team, then we'll talk. And I don't understand why people think this was his first game. He made two starts at the end of last season.

i thought christian ponder looked pretty good against the packers. he might have a future as a middling nfl starter.
tim tebow, on the other hand, looked just awful against miami as anyone without tebow colored glasses knows. he was horribly inaccurate and made bad decisions. he is what we thought he was. |

hey, no one tries harder than tebow...doesn't mean he has what it takes to be a top qb. karma...pfft. has nothing to do with it.

Karma has a role in everything if you believe in it (as I do), if not then it's easy to dismiss. Regardless of your beliefs, the truth about Tebow will be revealed over time, not as a basis of a few games or preconceived ideas.

so if you don't believe in it, it doesn't have a role? what i believe is that the harder you work, the luckier you get. want to alone isn't enough, neither is talent alone. but if someone can do well purely because of drive, then tebow will do well.

I'd take Karma -3 vs. Denver right now.

tebow wasn't a #3 on denver's depth chart at the start of the season because of karma. he's struggled to make the transition to the pro's and anyone with eyes can see where this story ends. if i believed in a nebulous concept like karma, i might think the fact the bronco's traded up to make him a first round pick with all the financial reward that entails makes him mother f'ing theresa. karma's done it's part. in the meantime actual talent should have something to do with how the rest of his now predictably short nfl career goes. he's a really nice ryan leaf. |

When the defenses keep a LB in to key on his runs he will be really ****ed, unable to run and unable to pass. Take the Under going forward in Bronco games.

I'm pretty sure he started 3 games last year. Won one of them passing for over 300 against Houston.

I still think the title of this thread is all this is about. I'm pretty sure Elway wants Tebow to fail and he wants to get Luck. It is no coincidence the Broncos traded by leaps and bounds their best offensive player (Brandon Lloyd) before Tebow's first start. So he's gonna get to play without their top threat too the rest of the year. Perhaps this is simply because Lloyd is a free agent and he was gone anyway and they want to play Thomas full time, but this was a really bad football team whether Tebow plays or not anyway. Trading Brandon Lloyd made the team even worse. It's gonna be really tough to out do the Dolphins and Colts for the Broncos now with that win however.

tim tebow is playing an average defense without two weeks to prepare. Last edited by hi_im_god : 10-30-2011 at 05:42 PM. |

That was not good today. At all. Now all of the anti-Tebow guys will use this to say "told you so". They will be as wrong as the pro-Tebow guys are in jumping to last week as proof that he will succeed. The truth is that the jury is still out either way and judging him after five starts isn't fair. He's done some good things. He's done some bad. That come with the territory with new starters early in their careers. I still think he'll be ok. We'll see.

what i am is anti-blind. apologies to any blind people that read this. and i reject the suggestion that there's some middle ground between blind people and those that can see in a debate about what color the sky is. and that we need to weigh equally the opinion of those that have no sight. it's not his fault the bronco's made a terrible decision. it's their front offices fault. if he weren't a first round choice none of this discussion would be taking place. but that doesn't take away from the fact that he's a demonstrably bad nfl qb and won't be in the league as a starter beyond whatever time it takes for the bronco's to admit the obvious. |
