I'll suggest some local flava
My Morning Jacket's Okonokos [Live]
or The 'Villebillies

&

Los Lobos, The Town and the City
The Hold Steady, Boys And Girls In America
Yo La Tengo, I Am Not Afraid Of You And I Will Beat Your Ass

thanks for the advice.
might check out the Fray.
they kind of remind me of coldplay, and I can listen to that.

its crazy isnt it?
there is not a bad song on that debut album.
took the best parts of Soundgarden and refined it a little bit. but with that classic base presence of Rage.
just awesome stuff.

I cant think of a better debut album from any band. they have strayed a bit from that sound, but its still better than anything else being put out.

I get tired of Audioslave's social and political activism sometimes, but there is not a better band out there.

yes yes yes. good call.

i'm listening to a lot of The Weepies right now. Probably not the style we're looking for here, but they're great.
