![]() Didn't Dick Cheney use birdshot to shoot his friend?
BTW much better to be shot with birdshot rather than buckshot but buckshot beats the hell out of slugs. |

![]() Yes, he did. I don't think you would want to be shot with any of it, if it was close range. Even birdshot could kill you, if you're close enough and damn sure has the potential to blind you. Friend of mine got shot in the mid-chest area while turkey hunting. Docs were able to remove a lot of the shot, but not all. They just left it in and eventually it worked its way out. He was in a bad way for awhile. Had recently divorced. Ex-wife felt so sorry for him, she moved back in for awhile to take care of him.

![]() In Arkansas, during deer season, there are probably a few hundred thousand men in the woods. Not a good place to be. Glad I gave all that up years ago. Now have to worry about my grandchildren being out there with their other grandad. Hopefully, they'll stop going, the first time he kills a deer and they have to witness him dressing it out.

![]() Might be. If they take after me, probably not. Nothing visual bothers me much. Smells are what get to me somewhat. Their mother does surgical procedures, so they probably won't be bothered, if they inherited any of that. I think I'd just as soon they confined their killing to Nintendo or Wii, but probably fat chance of that. I did plenty of hunting in my day and lived to tell the tale. Probably just being overprotective, but it kinda scares me when they're out there with a bunch of armed men. Actually, probably scarier in my day when there was no such thing as a hunter safety course.

![]() Yes, I know what you mean about the motorcycle. My grandkids have these little electric 4 wheelers now and so far they haven't been a problem. They won't go very fast, but they are heavy and could roll over on a child. I am usually out with them when they are riding and screaming at them when they try to run over each other or take corners too fast. Not sure when it's coming, but know wife will be buying them something bigger and more dangerous before long, but my kids also had a motorcycle and survived it. Hopefully, they'll be ok. Worry, about the older boy most. He is the thrill-seeker type. 11 years old and has already broken his arm twice.
