He has zero shot of being anywhere close to the Trifecta in the BC Classic IMO.....

Yeah, I agree with this as well. Also, Brother Derek is a smaller built colt that doesn't look like there is much room for improvement. While he is a really nice horse, I think his race on Saturday is going to be as good as he gets. Don't get me wrong, I do like him and think that he is game horse, but he can't go with the big guns.

I think the same thing about Lawyer Ron.

I think BD needs to shut it down and let him rest and develop or run him in some lesser races to keep him focused.

It's not like those races get a lot of horses shipping in.
You thinking of Arson Squad?

well if thats as good as it gets for him that means if lava man wasn't in the picture this boy would be racking up some grade 1 and 2's out west cause that was all they have out thier in that race except surf cat

The horse was overhyped before the derby. No doubt about it.

Well he had a real hard year and I want to see this horse run next year as well. I dont want him to end up like Funny Cide or Flower Alley. There is no shame in by-passing certain races for easier spots in order to shoot for larger purses next year.

Isnt there some high priced horse out there that just broke his maiden like last month? I cant think of the horses name. You also have to remember that BD is going to have to race on a synthetic surface. I wonder if that it going to play into the plans at all. Who knows if they will keep him out west.

Oh for Christ sakes you got to be big to be good.
All for looks again. Off to the dog show Bozworth, quickly.

Smarty was not perfectly symmetric so he was a dud. Good lord.
Hello. Just cause a horse is small does not mean they dont mature in muscular stature. Come in Houston...
Man I bet Sea Biscuit would make you puke... No check that. Blood lines were too good, you gotta like him. Help.
This is about running, not about how big a horse is. Come in.

So, you've changed your tune about Lawyer Ron? I remember you thought differently before the derby...

When does Santa Anita have to switch to a different surface?
