Points and ROI Totals through Feb 14, 2015

Here we go again as JolyB gears up for the TC run and hops over a number to land in the two spot while DonGuido continues his onslaught of being 2nd or worse best but in the money week after week after freaking week (sorry - power of the pen) joining Arletta to share the 5 hole. Roamin nails the win in the ROI and adds nicely to his totals while GotaDunQH hangs closely behind on the last rung of the top ten ladder.

Cruzan200246 leads the lower tier but is so close to nabbing a top ten spot. It's starting to get interesting here as well as at the tracks with hopefuls abound. It's that time of year when some of the best show their spots here and on the track. Lets see where Gulfstream takes us this next contest.

Thanks for playing and as Plenilune has done, go out and try an recruit or enlist more players to join us. Remember Indian Hemp (I do), we are trying to get him OK'd to register and play. If not this week hopefully next.

Updated due to accidently leaving out Criminal Type coming in 3rd place, who moves up to 7th rung of the ladder

1. 112 Plenilune
2. 109 JolyB (REPEAT Pts with 20 bonus points)
3. 103 Ruffian-333
4. 102 Real Quiet
5. 100 Arletta
100 DonGuido (2nd Pts and 3rd ROI)
7. 87 Criminal Type
8. 84 digger
9. 48 Roamin 42 (1st ROI)
10. 40 GotDunQH (4th ROI)

38 Cruzan 200246 (4th Pts and 2nd ROI)
25 NJ Stinks
13 Dapplehorse
13 ryonker

Points and ROI Totals through Feb 21, 2015

Well we had little if any luck in wagers last week but still added some gains in points totals. We have a new leader in JolyB landing a nice 2nd in Pts and Real Quiet moves up one to the 3 hole. Criminal Type hits the win in Pts and gains nice ground while Cruzan 200246 moves into the top ten after capturing a 4th in Pts.

Lets hope the familiar but ever challenging confines of Gulfstream are a little easier to figure out this Saturday. Thanks for playing and keep those cards and letters coming in.

1. 117 JolyB (2nd Pts)
2. 113 Plenilune
3. 108 Real Quiet (3rd Pts)

Points and ROI Totals through March 7, 2015

A quick update as you can see we have a new leader in Criminal Type who lands a nice repeat. Sorry but this is one of those times of the year that I am extremely busy with work and STUFF.

Basically, CT pushed everyone in the top 6 down a notch. May be another week or two until my life at the zoo and home gets somewhat normalized. Sorry!!!

Congrats to all who garnered points.

BTW - for the record we had no contest for 2/28 due to weather and cancelling the card.

1. 129 Criminal Type (REPEAT Pts W/ 20 Bouns Pts))
2. 123 JolyB (3rd ROI)
3. 121 Plenilune (2nd ROI)

And we have a new leader JolyB (the lead changes a lot this time of year) but The Professor is tough when he has ahold of it and he does now with excellent hits in each contest. Plenilune hangs tough in 3rd nabbing a 4th in ROI and DonGuido throws in a ringer with his horse shoe for a rare win in ROI along with a Pts hit and climbs up two rungs of the top ten ladder. Arletta is stable in the six hole landing a 3rd in Pts and swedejxn captures some good ground in the lower tier moving up a couple of spots. Interesting card but JB has provided us with one at Aqueduct that I believe may be over the top . . . we'll just see about that wont' we.

Thanks for playing and special thanks to the "old" new comers for joining the fray again. I luvs yas!!!!

1. 141 JolyB (1st Pts and 2nd ROI)
2. 130 Criminal Type

Points and ROI Totals through April 11, 2015

OK now it's getting serious. JolyB keeps adding to his stash, albeit minor this week, and Criminal Type is no slouch with a win in Pts hanging tough but loses ground to the 3 hole, while Arletta remains hot and engaged jumping into the 2 spot with a 3rd in ROI and 10 ROI bonus pts for being the best in March. DonGuido once again sneaks in a lucky win in ROI and lands a 2nd in Pts to start a move up one rung of the ladder on the leaders and digger maintains a hold on the 8 hole with a nice 2nd in ROI.

Romain hands us a 3rd in Pts and a past due bonus in ROI for Feb while Cruzan200246 nabs a 4th in Pts along with JB this week. And last but surely not least ElPrado moves up a rung in the lower tier with a nice 4th in ROI.

Thanks for playing and lets start thinking DERBY DERBY DERBY!!! Who is your DERBY horse??? I think I have mine!?

1. 223 JolyB (4th tied Pts)
2. 157 Arletta (3rd ROI plus 10 bonus Pts for March ROI winner)

Points and ROI Totals through April 18, 2015

Well we had no change in order in the top 10 so I'll let you see what happened there with points gains without too much fan fare for change. The movement in the lower tier gave NJ Stinks the lead there with a nice 1st in ROI and swedejxn hopped up one spot adding his 4th in Pts.

Good job everyone and especially all the points gainers. Now the lull before the fireworks of the thoroughbred world starts poppin!!!

Have fun at CD this week and lets hope we learn a little something before Derby Day but I doubt it!!!

1. 228 JolyB (3rd Pts)

Points and ROI Totals through April 25, 2015

OK so lets get this last warm up drill behind us for the start of the 3YO campaign and all else around it. Big stuff a coming here and on the track I hope. Arletta continues to creep a little closer to The Professor by nabbing points week after week and DonGuido is not too far behind, jumping up one to the three hole, as he is hitting a stride himself. Plenilune takes care of her business with a nice 2nd in ROI while Ruffian shows her stuff continuing also to hit the board in so many ways.

Digger lands a nice 4th in ROI and with the April ROI bonus jumps over RQ to take over the 7 hole and Roamin 42 does the equal in Points but Cruzan 200246 does him one better and trades places to move up a notch to the 9th rung of the top ten ladder. And lest we not forget ryonker who leaps over two players making good ground in the lower tier with a very nice 2nd in Points.

Lets see how Derby Day treats us here and in out hearts. Thanks again for being who y'all are, seriously!!!

Points and ROI Totals through The Derby May 2, 2015 and

Well now it's always good to get lucky on TC days with double points and DonGuido got real lucky, hitting in both contests, allowing him to move up to the 2nd rung of the top ten ladder and Criminal Type nailed the win on Derby Day jumping up a spot as well to take on the 3 hole. Plenilune landed a nice third in points to solidify her hold on the 5th rung and digger comes up big hitting a nice 2nd in ROI to maintain his lucky 7 position. And lest we not forget ElPrado who is making a slow but purposeful move to the top of the lower tier.

The Derby was fun, good for me here and in my hopes going forward, perhaps to think AP may be the one . . . but how many times can we think that with the likely reality of disappointment again . . . we'll see?!

Thanks for playing and being who you are as we see what Belmont will deal us next week.

Lower tier my lily behind. I've injected my butt with squirrel blood lately. Ask Ruff how I'm doing on her contests.

Nahhhhhhhhhhh. Maybe "Lower Forty" is better and I mean either name with ultimate respect. We've all been there at one time or another and you started late too.

Oh, don't worry. I'm not mad. Just teasing. Still getting over my spat earlier. Don't get a chance to get riled up as much as I did in the old chat room and pool hall days. Felt good.
