Good luck!

Already down to 87 5/5 streaks as yesterday was exceptionally tough, the top 3 picks were all out of the top 3, taking 1099 players down to a streak of 0.
I considered taking a pass on yesterday. Should have!

Going to give it one more shot:

Race 5: I Will Score (hope it's true!)

That was my loser from Friday. I guess the irony of "Send Me A Sign" finishing out of the money was lost on me. Was there ever a clearer sign?

Going for 2-in-a-row with the obvious Sweet Invention in race #1.

Race 3

#1 Touched By Autism

Good luck!

Already down to 40 7/7 streaks out of 3546 players who have at least one show horse correct during the meeting, so it's still too early to give up, even though personally my start has been as bad this year as it was good last year, as I only have one correct selection, and that was a race where my pick scratched and I wound up on the favorite. Still lots of time to turn it around though.

You meant Race 4.

I'm not as optimistic as you. Have you figured out how many racing days are left? This one doesn't run til June. There are 34 with 8/8, but I'm guessing there are another 50 with at least 5/5.

When my current streak (2-in-a-row!) ends, I'll be done with going for show streak. I may switch to win streak, though, becoming much more choosy on the picks.

Today: Race 3, Midnight Hawk

Sorry, my bad on the race number yesterday.

I counted 165 players with an active streak of at least 5 in a row. More than I thought, but still less than 4.5% of all players who have at least one correct selection. Including today, there are still 55 racing dates left in the meeting, and last year only two players were able to get a streak of higher than 32. Perhaps that was an aberration, but I have to believe that a streak of 40 would give someone a reasonable chance of winning.

Anyway, my pick for today is...

Race 4

#2 Tryst

Good luck!

Good analysis, you convinced me. (I count 58 days left, btw). If my pick yesterday had not lost, I was going to skip today. (large fields, no heavy favs except for CC, who hasn't raced in so long.) Now I'll just go with CC in the feature and hope he's ready enough for 3rd.

Up to 3 in a row for me, hardly a major accomplishment but you have to start somewhere.

Went with Cheekaboo today, along with 837 other players.

After viewing the scratches, it's pretty hard not to use a horse in the three-horse opener, so I'm going with

#2 Valentine Boy

Good luck!

Showvivor website still showing it as a six-horse field so perhaps even though anybody who uses race 1 just needs their horse to complete the course, other races/horses will be used and we can still make up a little ground.

I agree. And some may have picked early, before the scratches were announced.

I went with #5, El Nino Terrible.

LOL, even in a 3-horse race, neither of us picked the winner!

There were only 574 players that used the 1st race. More than that picked either Carlot Cowboy in the 2nd or Eddie Haskel in the 6th.

I know, I was pretty amazed when I looked at the popular picks page and saw that Carlot Cowboy was the most popular pick of the day, and that my pick, who was virtually assured of being successful, was only the 6th most popular pick of the day. You know I don't consider field size to be the most important consideration, but if they give you a chance where you are assured of being correct, you have to take it, yet many people missed with Eddie Haskell and to a lesser degree Guns Loaded.

There were 16 11/11 streaks when today started, I'd be curious to see how many (if any) were ended today when they didn't have to be.

Now there are just 12 with 12/12. I suspect a lot of people pick early, before scratches are listed. I often do that myself until I'm in a position where I think I have a real chance at a prize.

I may not pick a horse today. Gotta protect my 3/3, lol!

Race 4

#5 Blue Chat

Good luck!

Improved by over 300 spots yesterday, going from 986 to 683. Still have a lot of ground to make up but considering I was in 3200th place just a few days ago, I'm pretty pleased.
