After poking, proding and whapping my knees with that little rubber hammer, my doctor said she thinks it's just a bad bruise-- I didn't mess up my spine or do nerve damage. Hooray! She did prescribe Percoset so I can sleep-- I had a lot of trouble last night because it hurt too much to roll over and there's nothing like realizing you can't shift position to suddenly make the position you're in the most uncomfortable one ever.
And interesting thing she told me-- the reason you shouldn't use a heating pad for more than five or ten minutes at a time is because the heat draws moisture out of the muscle and that can make it spasm worse. In case you wondered why they say not to use heating pads for long periods of time. |

I had my first Percodan last night-- whooooaaaaaa. After I signed off DT, of course, or my furious post on the other thread would have read more like, "I can't believe people are falling for this mudslinging--- oh, look! My houseplant is so pretty... I like popcorn... does anyone wofahot aloga ogo7ea?" Still sore, but much better today. All your kind thoughts are so appreciated! Paisjpg, definitely let your horse know all the tossing and bucking allotments have been used up for awhile. Ah, cold weather... brings out the frisky... |
