Default The best way to get to Monmouth

You can get to Monmouth from NYC by either train or boat. (The ferry is neat.) I used the train once this summer -- Haskell Day -- and I believe it took about 1 1/2 hours. The train delivers you to the backstretch of the track.

Monmouth is a speed favoring one mile oval, and a very nice place to watch the races. It draws a beach crowd, since so many people are on the Jersey Shore during the summer. It's small, though, and I'm unsure how it will hold up during Breeders' Cup week in terms of seating.
The best way to get there and not to have to deal with traffic is by boat that leaves from Manhattan.

yeah,
this is one point we do agree on Zeig.

I hear a lot of talk about a dirt mile for the BC.
thats fine, but then you need to lengthen the BC Distaff to 9.5 or 10f.

oh, we've had our share of agreements...not a whole lot, but some.

i'd like to see a dirt mile, certainly would appeal to many.

As long as its a TWO-TURN mile - then I'm fine with that....the intrigue with the BC Juvy IMO is to gauge next year's Triple Crown contenders, and if we make it ONE TURN than it is nothing more than a long sprint IMO - which is what we don't need....
