![]() My the tangled web he can weave. Pat is out with an injury and now his Agent Jim Pegram has taken the book of David Cohen. How many times can P.Val get away with this act?

![]() I think I read last week that he has allowed his provisional (or conditional? I can't remember what they called it) license to expire...meaning i guess, that it isn't a given that he is coming back??

No liscence = no testing I dont feel bad for him at all , if he were on the up and up and trying to do the right thing he would be back in there renewing his liscence.

![]() Maybe he should share his stash with a few of the other riders in SoCal. Looks like a few of them need a boost.

I don't think PVAL is or was the best rider in the country, or even California for all that matters. It's truly a shame because he was a very talented rider. I think he fell in to the same trap that many other young talented atheletes do that have early success. Just my opinion. |

Some one else said it best on here 1st. No license no drug test. He's not fooling anybody that follows this sport. Then he'll come back when he's broke again, i guess thats better than robbin those taxi drivers. |

![]() Without question, PVal has increidble talent. The demons may be greater and stronger than the talent, who knows. I am sure that the CA board realizes that with his license expiring and with no authority over him until he applies for a renewal, they will scrutinize his application even that much more. Don't forget, his license was conditional (or provisional, I don't remember the term used), and while this may have been a legal ping pong match in the past, I am sure that the Board may have a few new conditions for PVal, and understandibly so.
As an aside to this, like him or not, having talent or not, believe in 3 strikes you're out or not, having torn up some tickets or not, or for that matter having sympathy or not -- none of that matters. We are talking about an individual who has a sickness. I don't care about the debate that says it's his fault, or it's not his fault. The who is to blame is not really important. Let's hope the guy gets help and can win a lifetime battle against those demons. I for one hope I get to tear up tickets on horses he rides for a long time, but that's just me. How many strikes should he get? I don't know. Eric |
