Scuds(dangerous alliance I know) is spot on about the scourge of Sharia law proponents. They do what they to cause anarchy, and try to gain power to overthrow or subvert the countries in which they live. You can't say that the Q'uran didn't mean what's written on its pages. Evidence of the believers actions is all over the world. Study any part of the events unfolding, and you can't miss the probable outcome. |

Timm's lil quote:
"The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal distribution of blessing. The inherent vice of socialism is the equal distribution of misery" Winston Churchill I won't take as much issue with the 2nd sentence (not as far off as the 1st sentence is.) He's wrong about Capitalism. Capitalism always forces a lot of people to be very poorly paid in order for a very few to be very rich. There is a connection between the two factors. We've struggled to get to this form of Capitalism that he's describing. It's never just a case of not getting ones fair share of the goodies. It's always a case of some having to eat rats so the very few can eat steak. |

Well, you're free to call me what you want, but I think you should be rather Reagan-Like (trust but verify) when it comes to trusting these folks. You know, not too long ago, I told people on here it's stupid to trust Turkey to do anything. People thought I was doing it for the same reasons you just repeated. What happened? They used the problems in Gaza as an excuse to stop being "friends" with Israel. Then, they started kissin' Iran's behind, and voted (in the U.N.) against sanctions that would have punished Iran (for being Rogue Nuclear.) Now, why did I think they'd be 2 faced? Well, you know that base thing they build houses on? A foundation? I know that they're working on a different foundation. I respect that difference.

Ya know how the "moderate " Islamists have stayed in power? It isn't that they've really been dominant in the big cities. They drive trucks (full of household appliances) out to the countryside, and give it away (in the months before elections.) I mean, according to the drunk guy, Ataturk (who set the country up as secular) the military really should have acted already. They should of hung this guy by now. They're the ones responsible for keeping the country secular. Erdogan must have quite a powerful "state police" on his side. Evidently, it would be ugly. If it was gunna be real easy, the military would already have taken over.
Funny thing about that country is they seem to have some sort of inability to learn English very well. My lil roundheaded Turk Brotha didn't even finish Turkish High School, but he is probably one of the top English speakers in that country. I mean, they really suck at it. Look at Obama trying to make out what these handpicked college students were asking him: Look at 5:14. Oba has no clue wtf this guy said. Asked him twice, and he butchered it the same way: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uj2ha...eature=related The girl at 0:56 is also brutally butchering it. They aren't that close to getting it right. "To my opinion, firstly, the peace should be in nature."..... Ain't close, honey. See, that's why my singer gets money under the table from a High School English Teacher in Ankara. They just can't do it. He has to translate stuff for her. She's inept. It's almost impossible for them to get it. Last edited by SCUDSBROTHER : 09-02-2010 at 09:36 AM. |

I think he said something like " When you wrote Peace at home, Peace at the World, to the notebook in Ataturk's Mausoleum." If that's not it, then I can't solve the puzzle. It's not that easy. An English speaker has about a 1 in a 1000 chance at figuring out his pronunciation of mausoleum.

I like being consistent... and this crap is fucl<ing stupid. If they really go through with buring the Quran.. I hope that the church catches fire in the process and the Pastor is trapped inside. If one additional American Troop in the middle east dies because of this, the Pastor should get life in prison. I know its 1st amendment rights like Riot likes to preach about (if she is consistent she will have no problem with the Quran burning).. but this is insensitive and stupid;

Life in prison? Your views are similar to most of the Middle East if that is the case.
