Points and ROI Totals through September 8, 2018

OK I'm lagging behind on my duties again and no excuses this time. No change in the order as JB continues his insurmountable and record setting lead with Ruff holding firm grip on the 2nd hole. RQ and DG "battle it out: for the 3rd rung of the ladder with Plen says "watch out boys, I'm right behind yas". Many others gained ground as well. Let's see how Woodbine treats us as we get closer to the Breeders Cup at Churchill.

1. 546 JolyB (2nd Pts 9/1 and 9/8)
2. 439 Ruffian (3rd Pts and 4th ROI 9/8)
3. 376 DonGudio (4th Pts and 1st ROI 9/8)
4. 367 Real Quiet (1st Pts 9/1)
5. 348 Plenilune (4th Pts 9/1 and 1Pts 9/8)
6. 151 Cruzan (1st ROI 9/1)
7. 85 NJ Stinks (3rd ROI 9/1)
8. 81 Roamin
9. 75 Indian Hemp (3rd ROI 9/1)
10. 48 Banter
11. 41 Cal828 (3rd Pts 9/1 and 9/8)
12. 17 ElPrado (4th ROI 9/1 and 2nd ROI 9/8)

So JolyB nabs minor points and continues as our leader while Ruffian hits for the place spot. Real Quiet changes places with DG again stepping up to the contentious 3rd rung of the ladder and Plenilune hangs tough right behind the two Amigos in the five hole. Cruzan brings home the most "bacon" for the day adding nicely to his totals with 1st and 2nd in both contests and cal828 jumps up to join the top ten for the first time.

Congrats to all the points "getters" and it's off to PARX for the PA Derby and more. And a college football editorial note: can my Clemson Gentlemen find the secret to the tricky Georgia Tech Engineers double/triple option running game and pull off win #4? Clemson has tons of talent but they have not been overly impressive this year so far.

1. 551 JolyB (3rd Pts)
2. 447 Ruffian (2nd Pts tie)
3. 378 Real Quiet (1st ROI)
4. 376 DonGudio
5. 352 Plenilune (4th Pts)
6. 169 Cruzan (1st Pts and 2nd ROI)
7. 86 NJ Stinks
8. 82 Roamin
9. 76 Indian Hemp
10. 49 Cal828 (2nd Pts tie)
11. 48 Banter
12. 18 ElPrado

Points and ROI Totals through September 29, 2018

OK update on totals for the past two contests. No change in positions except DG leaped over RQ again to take on the 3 hole. RQ's been "Real Quiet" lately and maybe just chillin out while getting ready to pounce on us for the Gallivan Cup.

You can see where we're at for now. Thanks for playing and keep those cards and letters coming in!!!

1. 563 JolyB (9/22 1st ROI)
2. 463 Ruffian (9/22 3rd Pts 9/29 1st Pts)
3. 391 DonGudio (9/22 1st Pts 9/29 4th Pts)
4. 380 Real Quiet
5. 361 Plenilune (9/29 2nd Pts)
6. 174 Cruzan (9/29 3rd Pts)
7. 87 NJ Stinks
8. 86 Roamin (9/22 4th Pts)
9. 76 Indian Hemp
10. 57 Cal828 (9/22 2nd Pts)
11. 48 Banter
12. 20 ElPrado

Trust me on this update as far as the numbers go. Only movement is with the RQ-DG back and forth as RQ lands back in the 3 hole. The other change is Roamin taking over the 7 spot.

With only one more contest until Breeders Cup the top 10 is pretty well defined to compete for the Gallivan Cup. And we will have the usual announcements during the week before and after.

Thanks for playing and keep those cards and letters coming in!!!

1. 569 JolyB
2. 477 Ruffian
3. 404 Real Quiet
4. 397 DonGudio
5. 373 Plenilune
6. 189 Cruzan
7. 88 Roamin
8. 87 NJ Stinks
9. 77 Indian Hemp
10. 70 Cal828
11. 48 Banter
12. 22 ElPrado

Points and ROI Totals through October 20, 2018

Not much going on with two weeks to go to Breeders Cup, EXCEPT FOR THE DUELING "BROTHERS" of the forum for the 3rd spot. Again they change positions as DG up ends RQ for the coveted 3 hole. What will happen this coming Saturday between the dazzling duo . . . better yet WHO CARES!!!

My bets on RQ to regain numero tres again. Any odds on that???

1. 570 JolyB
2. 481 Ruffian (4th Pts)
3. 408 DonGudio (1st Pts)
4. 405 Real Quiet
5. 381 Plenilune (2nd Pts)
6. 190 Cruzan
7. 89 Roamin
8. 87 NJ Stinks
9. 77 Indian Hemp
10. 71 Cal828
11. 48 Banter
12. 23 ElPrado

Points and ROi Totals through October 27, 2018

Determining the Top Ten to go for the Gallivan Cup. So Banter and ElPrado joined the group late or very late thus understandably why they missed out. Most if the rest have been solid players most every week and thus you have the Top Ten as numbered.

And to note JolyB has eclipsed DonGuido's points total record of 560 up to the weekend before Breeders Cup. Nice job JB, records are made to be broken. So we have our top ten and it's time to cap the cappers.

1. 571 JolyB
2. 492 Ruffian (1st Pts)
3. 413 DonGudio (3rd Pts)
4. 406 Real Quiet
5. 382 Plenilune (2nd Pts)
6. 215 Cruzan (1st ROI and 4th Pts)
7. 90 Roamin
8. 88 NJ Stinks
9. 79 Cal828
10. 77 Indian Hemp

11. 48 Banter
12. 23 ElPrado

Congrats Joly on your overall points win for the year. That's a whole lotta points and consistency each and every week. Kudos to Ruffian for chasing Joly all year and for a great points total too.

Thank you for the kind words, Real Quiet. Shall I try for the Jacques Who designation again in this year's ROI, or is that something better avoided? I've never been quite sure.
