Thanks to everybody who played both P6 contests...

The objective of these exercises as originally conceived by Andy Serling was to demonstrate how truly difficult the P6 is, and that careful ticket building is frequently more important than the handicapping.

Indeed, both of yesterday's P6's proved out mostly predictable, very hittable, but ultimately tricky thanks to less than obvious outcomes in the AQU 5th, HOL 5th and 7th. And even $2,000 worth of budget wasn't enough for us as a group to catch either the $3k or $16k prizes.

I'm hoping to review these today on ATR.

One of the these days I would love to hear what strategy people use for isolating the toughest race in the sequence almost in the same manner that "singles" for a sequence are discussed. The discussion yesterday on the show about trying to avoid races with two selections because of the impact on ticket price was good stuff. I think Seigel was right saying that in many cases a good player can select the right chalk horse of two considered but how good are we, and what strategy do players use when predicting the races where a price will occur so that we structure tickets like the one above where his largest price was one of two races he used the most selections.

Thanks to all.

I spread in the 5th due to the size of the field and based on the PPs it looked like a wide open race. I gave the #4 a shot b/c I thought she could wire it, had the class to match up with others, was 2nd off the bench and just missed down the hill by a length at 15/1 vs. the 3 & 6, who I also liked.

I spread in the feature b/c I could not find a reason to like any of them at short odds, i.e, after looking at the PPs to me it too was wide open and if I got that far did not want any of them to beat me.

Love the show and keep up the great work Steve!
