![]() People get wayyyy to defensive about stupid stuff like this. I'm offended all the time but who cares. I'm offended everytime a rap singers says the F word on the radio. I'm offfended every time i see someone talking on the phone while driving and cutting people off. The point is, ignore it. If your spending your time worrying about what that a talk show host called you a racist name, then your not going to hack it in life. And I absolutely love how Al Sharpton is all over this. Black people can disparage white people with no problem, but hold your pants if it comes in reverse. Jesse and Al want to set the world on fire.

And can this be termed a racial slur??? How does Iran fit into this? |

I stated that "if I was a trainer..."---hypothetical (no name). If anyone took personal offense and found the need to defend based on that, perhaps his words speak louder than his actions, though to me, actions have always spoken louder than words. Some might need to develop a thicker skin, whatever color one is born with. |

Let me understand your stance. It is awful for a public figure to "offend" a particular group even though the 2 have no ties or contact but on a personal level people need to develop a thicker skin? |

I'm not sure I can give a correct answer either way. All I can say is my personal opinion, that being that one need not go out of their way to "offend" (nor defend). If it means having a thicker skin (despite its color) to tolerate racism, well, again...in my humble opinion, racism is not tolerable and needs to be spoken against. Also, if you took anything I said as a personal attack on you, my sincere apologies. A good friend, who also worked for H Allen, and went to dinner with you both, told me of your ability as a horseman. Joey says "hi". |

![]() I must admit ignorance concerning Imus. I saw a recent picture of him. How can a man with a head of hair like his insult anyone else's nappy hair. He looks absolutely ridiculous. The 70's are gone Mr. Imus, meet Edwardo Scissorhands. God Lord, a virtual hurricane of protein fibers reaching the status of Marge Simpson with a bit of color added.
But then again he is on the radio. He should request that his picture above the forehead be deleted. |

![]() For Imus, the 70's are important, it's both his age and when he started in radio. He's been trying to catch up to Stern since the early 80's.

![]() I would suggest that if you were that bothered by what Imus said maybe you should contact his employer? I could care less. If he said that he hates skinny white bald guys who occasionally drink and gamble too much I would say - who cares what he thinks? My skin has grown VERY thick over the last year and a half, two years as my maturity both in the "real" world and the online world has grown leaps and bounds.
One thing I have learned rather quickly is that I worry about my life and not what others think about how I am leading it. If I am making the right decisions and doing the right things, then I will sleep at night. |

![]() I listen to Imus everyday and he and his staff pick on everybody.I'm jewish and i laugh at the fun they make of jews. His producer Bernard does a routine as the cardinal where he announces the winning lotto numbers amongst other things and used to where a Fed-Ex letter package as a hat.I've yet to hear any Christian organization up in arms about it.Lets face it Al Shapton thrives on other peoples misery. That's the only time you hear from him. It's no different in the Sean Bell case. When all the evidence is produced it will be proven that those policemen acted wiuthin the guidelines.I'm still waiting for Sharpton to apologize about the Tawana Brawley case where a young girl made up a story that she was raped and had fecies put on her.It happened in Wappinger Falls NY.It ruined one guys life.Sharpton and his buddy Alton Maddox never apologized for what they did.The irony is that my sister in-laws parents were principals in schools in Brooklyn and Sharpton went there and was a troublemaker then already.Hey Al you happen to remember Yankel Rosenbaum who was killed in Brooklyn by Lemerick Nelson.
