I just read the whole indictment....it's pretty nasty....I think he's taken his last snap....if the NFL doesn't suspend him, the Falcons have to....what an absolute idiot.....you know sometimes these guys do crazy things and I think it's truly a matter of being misguided, but if you read that whole thing it was a well organized syndicate......This is no more than him saying and thinking he was above the law......the person I couldn't imagine being was the undercover who had to witness that mess for 4 years....crazy....let's just hope Mark Furman doesn't have any relatives that are in law enforcement in Va....

Do you think Vick will get to play himself in "The Longest Yard, Part III"?

This isn't some podunk state charge, it's fed. He's not getting community service. It's either not guilty or prison.

The Feds don't lose. Look at the Enron boys, Martha Stewart, Bernie Ebbers and Dennis Kozlowski. If Vick is convicted and doesn't cut a deal then he prob will get 6 years (according to ESPN). This isn't some local prosecutor with limited resources, this is the Federal Gov't.

Haven't they got atleast 4 of these guys ready to give evidence against him. It's not like Mike didn't show up to watch the fights fought on the property he owned.Property on which he said he new nothing about dogfighting go on there. How the NFL can not see that he is lieing to authorities about this(at the very least) is beyond me.I mean they have all these witnesses that dealt with him,and saw him at the fights. At some point the league needs to get him off the grounds of any facility associated with them. Can't they atleast suspend with pay,or something? They need separation very quickly here.Doesn't have to be punitive, but they need separation from this guy right now.

I have heard that Goodell is in a bit of a pickle because this is a first time offense..so they want the legal issues played out! That doesn't explain what they going to do with him for 2007? With this amount of press...they can't play him, and I don't think the Owner(Blank) wants that on his franchise!

I wonder what ever happened to JANE(their prized bitch.)If she ever lost, and if they killed her for losing.Maybe she is still around for breeding. It really is amazing that this guy and his pack of filth were doing this for about 6 years. All the notoriety that this guy has,but nobody turned them in? They had a drug raid, and they found out only then?

My take is what I said before. IF he's convicted, he should face the full penalty that comes along with the crime. I've never said otherwise. I've never said that he was innocent or that he was a good guy. I've only said that he, like anyone else in this world, should have a chance to have the facts looked at and a trial to determine his/her guilt or innocence. I remember just last year, everyone was rushing to judgement in the Duke lacross case. They indicted them and cancelled their season, affecting quite a few people. How did that turn out? I just don't like the fact that in today's world of instant news, everyone having blogs, 24-hr news channels and countless sports radio, everyone feels that they have to convict before the facts are in.

Personally, I feel that Vick is not a person that I'd care to be in the company of and I wouldn't send my kids to his football camp because I don't feel he is a good role model. But that's just my personal feeling. It doesn't make him guilty of the crimes he's accused of. Yes, where there is smoke there is often fire. But, and maybe it's naive of me, but I still like to believe that the old American principles still have a place here. Maybe not.

That is my opinion.

Regardless, if everything we have heard turns out to be true let's all hope Vick goes away for a long time.
This is silly. What would my opinion of him as a football player have anything to do with this? I could think he's the greatest athlete in the history of the world but still would say that if he's guilty, he should face the same punishment that anyone else would. I've not once defended or accused him. I've only said that he deserves the same treatment as anyone else and that is for the evidence to be put out there, tried in a court of law and a jury or judge decide and pronounce sentencing if found guilty. If u take that as defending him, then so be it. People are saying that he should be banned from the league, that he should lose his endorsements, etc, but what happens if in the end, he's found not guilty? They can't undo what's done. Ask the Duke lacross players about that.

The difference is the duke lacrosse players weren't federally indicted. The Feds do not press these types of charges unless they have a serious evidence. Also, Vick met with both the comish and Falcon's ownership and stated that he had nothing to do with this a long time ago. Just like Rafael Palmero said I never took steriods, never; Vick is a flat out liar and should step away from football voluntarily and face his punsihment once he is found guilty. I suggest doing to him what he did to those poor innocent dogs.
