[quote=Pillow Pants]Yeah his voting record has absolutely nothing to do with getting reelected. Afterall, Idaho is one of the most progressive states in the union. ]

I wondered if you ever understood anything I'd typed and now I'm fairly sure you don't. I can't believe I'm even having to explain this but--

-- it was a comment on why a Congressman who is apparently gay himself (his protestations to the contrary notwithstanding) would have so consistently voted for any legislation that sought to keep gay and lesbian Americans from having the same rights as heterosexual Americans. Why shoot yourself in the foot you're tapping against the foot of the guy in the next stall? Unless you fear more happily, openly gay Americans means fewer chances for anonymous hookups in airport bathrooms with similarly closeted, self-hating men such as Craig.

Sigh... I'm sorry I don't have a huge jazzy rolling eyes icon, but I'm just not as cool as you, PP.

Thing is...if you are straight, you'd be in the opposite gender's bathroom...would be a bit obvious, no?

he voted by what he thought the majority of his constituents wanted--that way he'd be re-elected and could draw retirement after serving just a couple of terms! besides, he's "not gay".

Your failed attempt at humor was noted and overlooked for a reason. I wanted to give my opposing view and did so quite effectively if I do say so myself.

[Hippiephobe]I'm sorry that I don't have a pair of birkenstocks and I didn't purchase that case of granola at Costco. Could you find it in your heart to forgive me? Peace? [/Hippiephobe]

Yeah exactly, that's the thing that I find the most remarkable about this whole saga.

great moments in political speech;

1960's, JFK "Ask not, what your country can do for you..."

1980's, Reagan "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall"

1990's Clinton "I did not have sex with that woman, Miss Lewinski"

2007 Senator Craig "I am NOT gay"

Wrong time zone, moron. It's like you're subconsciously asking me for a mold of my nuts. Stop obsessing.

The lesson to be learned:

With the possible exception of severe constipation, never take a "wide stance" in a public restroom stall!

I'd be careful about throwing around stereotypes, if I were you. (I have never owned birkenstocks and don't live near a costco. Or like granola all that much, for that matter. Judging from your rhetoric, were I to work by your standards, I would have to assume you must be closeted yourself.

(Though, as a liberal, I don't see anything wrong with that, so it's okay. You can daydream about other people making molds of your nuts as much as you want. . Different strokes for different folks, and all.)

Since you're a moron it is understandable that you would misconstrue my opinion as gay bashing rather than idiot bashing. I'm just glad you didn't breed before menopause hit. (At least I hope you didn't)

Go back to spending your time looking for 'funny' pictures to post. In between your BCR meetings and losing your ass. Maybe a heavy dose of Opie and Anthony is in order.
