To be perfectly honest, I'm not convinced there isn't something wrong with Daaher, as he just isn't the horse we saw even at Saratoga.

Maybe he never was much. I don't know.

Funny but after today's race, I'd be more inclined to agree with you. If the two races had been run in a different order, I probably wouldn't have wrote the post that I did about him.

I also am not convinced that he's not the same horse we saw at Saratoga or in the Cigar. If I saw him flop under those same kinds of conditions that he had back then, I would be convinced. But I don't know that if he didn't face Midnight Lute next week with the same scenario that he had last time, that the result wouldn't be the same.

So, if you don't mind, could you tell me what your point is?

My only question was when did King Leatherbury get relieved of his training duties of Malibu Moonshine? I'm guessing it's a lot longer than I realize.

Almost 2 years and 5 trainers ago. While searching for the answer in the pps I noticed the comment in the closer look "needs dream trip for any upset possibility".

“He came out of the race great,” McLaughlin said March 2 from his Belmont Park barn. “I thought we would find something. What we found out is he is limited on distance. But it wasn’t a soundness issue. His legs are ice cold.”
