The one horse you are talking about barely showed he was better than than a field you are calling weaker than the FOY despite having a favorable set-up. you make no sense sometimes. you would have a point if Giant Moon had to overcome adversity and still won decisively. it was not clear that he was much better than Spank Fischbein.

Good luck to you too.

Those two comments strike me as funny. I have a need for people to know my opinions huh? Isn't that what everyone on this board is doing? Giving their opinions. I have a need to have people know my opinions on horses but u feel the need to give your opinion on me. Interesting.

Eight Belles is the best 3 yr old I've seen this year. Not a Derby horse, but I've seen noone run better than her this year.

No, I'm dead serious on this. I've seen no one run better than her this year. IF Denis of Cork is highly thought of...I saw her run the same distance at the same track on an off track the day before completely 100 percent under wraps through the stretch getting the same Beyer as DOC. She does have the highest two turn 3 yr old Beyer this year. I realize Beyers are meaningless to some extent. I saw her two races. In my opinion she's better than anything I've seen this year. Other than War Pass who is obvious...of all the 3 year olds I think she is the one with the best chance outside him to be "special". I'm most likely wrong...but that's ok. I like her running style..she appears to be adaptable...can come off the pace...can rate just off. Seems to be well schooled. After watching all her two year old races when she appeared to be tough to handle and never changed leads in the stretch...it appears she now "gets it". Two extremely efficient races starting off her 3 yr old year.

No...not joking one iota.

Apparently you think more of this colt than the horse's own trainer:

"Richard Schosberg, trainer of Giant Moon, said he is looking forward to finding out more about his talented New York-bred colt and admits that he must improve in order to be taken seriously as a legitimate Kentucky Derby contender.
'He has a lot to prove, he has a lot of improving to do,' said Schosberg, who trains Giant Moon for owner-breeder Al Fried Jr. 'His numbers have to get better if he's going to be considered in the top 15.'"

That's because Rick is a very sharp guy who actually knows horses.

Most, if not all, of what trainers say is either directly, or indirectly, aimed at the owner. He's just being realistic.

Nothing really. Just remember him being an undefeated NY bred that was favored in either the Gotham or Wood.

This thread reminded me of him.

Giant Moon couldn't have warmed him up. He was fast.
