I apologize. And you went through all of the trouble of bringing someone over to the computer to read it to you.

There's that arrogant, condescending tone I've come to expect from you Michelle! Thank you for not disappointing me.

given that george bush recently authorized the use of u.s. troops in pakistan without prior approval of the pakistani government this whole debate is laughable.

we raided the country with ground troops september 5th. anyone who reads knows this.

obama haters ought to be quietly avoiding the debate, not bringing it up as an example of poor leadership. supporters should embrace his prescience.

i love when tards argue but enough is enough.

On a side note, is that your son's ship?
i wasn't trying to prove anyone right or wrong, but i found that article about obamas speech so i put it up for those who might be interested. he didn't say he wanted to invade pakistan, but he did imply we would go in there to hunt down terrorists. i doubt we'd let anyone do that here-can you imagine??-so i'm not surprised that people might be shocked at the suggestion we do it elsewhere. certainly it would depend on whether pakistan gave the green light-which at this point doesn't seem a possibility.

and yeah, marks ship-so to speak!

he sure did, and it's appalling-we bitched about russia going into georgia to get to south ossetia, and then we help ourselves to going inside another countrys borders without so much as a 'by your leave'. i think bush thought maybe he could take a bit of liberty while pakistan is going thru their turmoil-hell of a way to treat a supposed ally.

you make Matt Damon sound like Henry Kissinger.

of course he meant the terrorists, but when he said THIS about a country we refer to as an ally in the war on terror, a fragile complicated country with nuclear weapons, he exposed himself as totally incompetent and dangerous;

(CBS/AP) Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama said Wednesday that he would send troops into Pakistan to hunt down terrorists even without local permission if warranted — an attempt to show strength when his chief rival has described his foreign policy skills as naive.

The Illinois senator warned Pakistani President Gen. Pervez Musharraf that he must do more to shut down terrorist operations in his country and evict foreign fighters under an Obama presidency, or Pakistan will risk a U.S. troop invasion and losing hundreds of millions of dollars in U.S. military aid.

"Let me make this clear," Obama said in a speech at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. "There are terrorists holed up in those mountains who murdered 3,000 Americans. They are plotting to strike again. It was a terrible mistake to fail to act when we had a chance to take out an al Qaeda leadership meeting in 2005. If we have actionable intelligence about high-value terrorist targets and President Musharraf won't act, we will."

he was roundly critized for this even from his own party. you simply do not throw down ultimatums like that. this is the type of situation that calls for discreet covert action, and not John Wayne style statements whose only goal is to prove you're not a wimp.

which is why i told you earlier that Palin did exactly the right thing when Gibson kept pressing her on whether or not she is for going in to northern Pakistan, she kept her mouth closed and said nothing but that all options are open. that is the only correct answer. If the US has contigency plans to chase terrorists into pakistan, trust me we don't tell that to Charlie Gibson of abcnews.

You make Sarah Palin look like Marilyn Vos Savant

If Obama is "incompetent and dangerous" what does that make Bush for not threatening but actually SENDING THE TROOPS in?

please tell me which government official confirmed this? i don't think anyone has said anything or will comment on it. its only based on rumors. maybe i'm wrong but i think if anything like this was confirmed it would be a much bigger story.

we have no doubt been doing raids into Pakistan when we needed to all along, only now I believe the efforts have been stepped up, but its not something you can talk about openly as a matter of policy.

if you would ever engage your brain for a moment, and step away from your childish gotcha mentality, you might actually realize how stupid you sound.

its was an anonymous non governmental source, that means it is not official US policy. do i believe its true? could very well be, frankly i would hope so.

the only reason we started down this path was to contrast the lightweight wannabe general Obama spouting off about chasing terrorists into Pakistan with or without their approval, with the quiet covert actions that take place all the time, that George Bush has not and will not say anything about, and with the poise that Palin showed the other day by not taking the bait from Charlie Gibson.

LOL

If the actions were quiet and covert, why were they reported on every news service in the ENTIRE WORLD?

Stop trying to spin out of it. You were wrong so shut up.
