I take it to the dealership, tell them to fix the damn thing, figured it was under warranty.

Seriously, all I am asking for this weekend is to come back with all the organs I have currently, no altercations with bootleg racetrack people, and no animal altercations

file a claim with your insurance, unless of course you have a large deductible. they may cover something like that. a bizarre story, but from what i've read previously, squirrels are responsible for quite a few house fires every year from just such a thing.

I don't think the squirrel has any reason to be scared.

I told one of my Cub-fan friends before the series started that if the Dodgers win this series, I wouldn't be shocked to see them win the three games at Wrigley and go 0-2 in L.A. On the surface that doesn't make much sense, because the Dodgers were a much better team at home this year than they were on the road, but this thing is about pitching matchups.

I have zero confidence in Kuroda, and then I think Ted Lilly will get the job done for the Cubs in Game 4. It has looked like a total mismatch so far, but I think the odds of Kuroda beating Harden are slim, and one victory by the Cubs can turn the whole thing around.
We got 3 games to win 1. Be terrific to win a playoff series at home. Dodgers have been much better at home this year. Kuroda can be a warrior. It's a matter of whether he has anything to give. He is very mentally tough, but he is unprofessional at controlling his pitches. He can go from contending for a no hitter to getting knocked out in the 3rd or 4th inning. Given this particular situation, I think he is gunna step up, and be a warrior. It's a guess though. I absolutely love watching Furcal play this game. He was our heart n' soul, and then he was gone. I think just about everybody thought we lost him for the year. Getting him back was a big surprise. Watching him hit, and streak down the 1st baseline is a huge rush. I think he is a big part of this. He gives everyone that lil extra bit of confidence. He is a star. Absolutely a star. Now we have 2 stars. We have beaten this team here this year. I think they are gunna do it, and the party is gunna be a blast. This organization needs to win a playoff series very badly. Everybody wants to win a world series, but a playoff series win is gunna bring a lot of pride back to an organization that has had it's a-s-s kicked around for 20 years. Most of these guys still have that sick feeling from getting swept by the Mets. This is the only way to get rid of that embarassment. We don't have much to close games with right now. We have got a problem with Saito. He is not right. I think we can take this at home. It's important to do this at home with the L.A. Fans. They are gunna be determined. If CUBS want this, then they are gunna have to beat a very hungry group, and very hungry fans.

I don't even think about them going to the World Series. Even if they lose 3 straight, it's still the best year we've had in 20 years. This is house money. We got Billingsley's best. Maybe we can get a good one from Kuroda. If they lose 3 straight, it isn't gunna be as bad as 1980. They had beaten the Astros 3 straight to end the season in a tie. I got out of school and had good tickets to the one game playoff. They were right behind the Astros Dugout. That was a very bad day.

Could of gotten them there, but we are gunna eat on the way. The official name appears to be the "All You Can Eat Pavillion." I sat there when I saw Fernado beat Righetti in the '81 World Series. For some reason, I don't like it as well as being behind the plate. Even if it's top deck behind the plate. It's better.

It's a combination of factors.

1) Lowe is motivated to get a payday

2) Manny is motivated to do well somewhere new, and get a contract. Also, this is a town that fits someone like him. Much more privacy away from the stadium here.

3) Before Manny, this was a case of 2 factions. One younger group wanted a loose clubhouse, and the others were either neutral or wanted a more professional atmosphere(Kent.) When Manny came, he got most everyone to relax, and have some fun. Kent wasn't for it. He talked s-h-i-t about the announcer we have had for over 50 years. The team lost 8 in a row. Kent got hurt. They were great without him. He wants to win a ring so badly that he keeps his mouth quiet, and sits on the bench waiting to be called upon as a pinch hitter. The pitchers are pitching to their ability. We are vulnerable late in games now. SAITO evidently doesn't have it anymore(I guess.) Broxton is very shaky. He got a very low strike last night, and that will only encourage him to try to paint edges. That means he is gunna have control problems, or have to throw something over the plate. He refuses to just start overpowering people(fat bastard.) Somebody else will need to step up, or we will struggle to close out games now.

4)Furcal being back(and playing this well) is a totally unexpected lift. 2 weeks ago, they said he could hit, but not run. Now he is streaking to 1st base to beat out a drag bunt.
