what i would like to see her do next year is to continue to take on the best competition in her races, regardless of who that may be or where it would take place.

as for comments on broodmare value, it just shows that some folks-whether on tv or elsewhere, don't really think about the particular individual before opening their mouth.

Look most likely the best in Europe will be 3 year old colts as the marketable good 3 year old colts will leave for stud. She cant race in the 3 year old colt races so she will be resigned to open female competition which will be a joke. What does she have to gain running 4 times against fillies and mares crushing them prepping for the Arc and hoping to beat the best new colt in the game? It's a tough spot and you kill your self if g-d forbid she takes a bad step and breaks down prepping for a race she has already run.. It's a tough spot I think I would breed her and give her a bunch of mints and smile alot knowing I owned one frickin fast filly. Of course as a fan I would love to watch her race but to use a often misused expression...She really has done enough!

Chaka Khan can do what he wants with the horse. She's done enough.

Though I would dearly love to see her run in The Breeders Cup, I cannot fault her connections for stopping on her, considering the Aga Khan operation is european based. I don't see how she can top an Arc win by going to the BC as an afterthought, as much as we like to think our racing is where everyone wants to race, it simply isn't so. Bring her back as a 4 yr old and hopefully the BC will be in their plans next year is the best case scenario.

Winning the BC Turf after winning the Arc wouldn't do much for her legacy. That's why if they are going to bring her over for the BC it should be to run her in the Classic. An Arc/Classic double for a 3yo filly would be an amazing accomplishment.

On a synthetic she'd be tough to play against. Of course the Classic might be an impossible betting race anyways, she would just make it even more impossible.

LOL @ all the sympathy and support for retirement. If this were an American three-year-old, everyone would be stomping their feet about how far the game has fallen and how horses aren't bred to race anymore. Kinda easy to ship her off to the shed when you'd never get to see her in person anyway.

LOL even harder @ sending her to the Classic, or any BC race for that matter. Who gives a crap about the BC anymore, much less the BC run over tires? It's a total crapshoot on synthetic, and frankly, she's too good for it.

Obviously, Khan can do whatever he wants with her, but in an era with so few truly special horses, it would be pretty lame to retire her after seven starts. If she were mine, and I didn't need the money, I think I'd feel like it was my duty to showcase her brilliance.

Why doesn't she have anything left to prove? There aren't other prestigous races that she could win? Has she really done it all? How do we know that there won't be any competition for her next year?

Whether you agree, or like it, I believe in the past the Aga Khan has effectively said he breeds to breed and not to race.

I will also add, why should Euros care about our races? Do we care, or support, their races? I can relate to them coming over for money but there is no way any European owner has some kind of " obligation " to run here.

Regardless of the joke surface they are running the Classic on I still think an Arc/Classic double holds some weight in the world, and even moreso if a 3yo filly did it, a feat that may never be duplicated. And the fact that it is on the tires makes it more likely she could pull it off.
