Hit the superfecta in the classic and got screwed by IRS and state taxes. Hoping to see curlin off the board....maybe would have gotten 20-30k, but happy with 10k.

The horse ranked very high (2nd) on the PaceFigures program I use in certain categories, and as Steve mentioned several times on ATR , the local horses & jocks who know the course should have an advantage, Thanks Steve :

Also, did hit the turf superfecta for 40 cents and classic superfecta and got screwed by IRS and state taxes. Hoping curlin was off the board and maybe would have gotten 20-30k, however, overall very happy!!!

LOL and if you find one good luck getting to your destination - was asked for directions in the marriott hotel parking lot friday nite by a group of very inebriated degenerates stuffed in a cab [appeared to be coming from an airport] the driver was trying to find the OTHER marriott [east huntington vs. west huntington] later found out it was only a couple of blocks in the other direction but bet anything they drove around couple more hours going in circles, jhc they were very drunk and that driver was hopelessly lost, hope their room wasnt given away if they ever got there to check-in...

Had my best day ever.

I had Muhannak in the 1st, the exacta in the 2nd (cause i like Desert Code and i usually get silly and include a sentimental horse even if they don't have a shot ). Was alive in the pick 3 till Well Armed decided to screw me. He was my single for the day. Not good.

Messed up the Mile and Juvy but had Donativum, had the exacta, was all over Fatal Bullet and threw Midnight Lute in at the last minute so had the sprint (ex and tri, sucks cause I had Street Boss and In Summation too but didn't play a super) , hit the 10 cent super in the Turf which was REALLY fun . Eagle Mountain was my horse for the day but I knew to box some of the Euros, that Conduit would be there, that Soldier was gooood and that Dancing Forever had a beter shot than the rabbit.

Liked Henry, screwed up the Classic in a big way.

All in all came home with just over (an additional) 1200. which, considering what I played on Eagle and Fatal Bullet to win was just fine. Watched my closest freind go from having a mere 30. left to making 2 trips to the IRS window so yeah... a good day.

Oh don't worry. I'm positive that if any of these redboarding cretins posted their picks in the selection room before the races then they would be losers too.

I'm an admitted wagering idiot. If I had ANY CLUE of how to wager at all, I would have made a bundle this weekend. But I didn't. I used 3 horses in the Juvy Filly Turf Friday on one of my pick 3 tickets (singled Maram on two other tickets). The horses I used ran 1,2,3. Do you think I am intelligent enough to play the exacta and tri?? Um know... If I simply box those 3 horses in ex and tri for $2 each I make $300 on the exacta and $1800 on the tri. But again..my handicapping is far better than my wagering.

I'm done with Pick 3's and 4's. Its exactas all the way for me now and I'll tell ya I see the light, really do. Now granted I got spanked Friday but man I made it back on Saturday. I just really would rather focus on one race at a time and try to hammer it for first and second then string together 3 or 4 races where either it gets chalky, a bomb blows it up etc etc.. Consider also that I for the most part am gambling under $75 - the exception is days like yesterday and Friday. If I would not have hit the exacta in the classic I would have lost $160 over the two days.

i told my husband (we're about to have to plan vacations for next year, he has to turn in his dates by nov 1) that i wanted to go to the bc next year....he said whatever. but i doubt we do it. maybe i'll just make the trip to hot springs or go down to la to make bets.
Not true- that isn't even the highest Hofmans payoff- he had Adoration that paid close to $100 back in '03.

I was money on Friday and miserable on Saturday. Had a few winners but didn't construct winning tickets.

Too much of my money went through Fabulous Strike in the Sprint.

Default late pick 4 saturday

Committed to the euros and cashed 2700 on pick 4 on a 70.00 ticket..had diabolical wheeled underneath and caught ridiculous exacta. Tough beat was on friday when the 11 )Lonely Heart) didnt get up in time..cameras followed the wrong horse after the wire causing huge letdown as I missed win bet and exacta. cant afford pick 6 but can see if I had played hitting it..
shoulda coulda woulda

This isn't big score but maybe about how much of a moron I am. I was telling everyone that would listen that the Turf Sprint was an all race given how the race would run and all the traffic issues down that f'n hill. So not listening to myself I had this P4 ticket played

2: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,12,13,14
3: 1,7,8
4: 4,5
5: 11

$24 more dollars and I nail the early P4 for $5500, and I was talking about that race being an all race since I saw it. f'n moron

Oh real bets? Like betting Oaklawn in September?

http://www.derbytrail.com/forums/sho...2&postcount=32

I'm just curious...have you ever posted a winner on here before the race that paid half as much as that redboard?

I got completely hosed all weekend.

Was right about a couple of things but couldn't seal the deal on them. Singling Ventura got me live into a trio of BIG pick-3s in the JF Turf, but none of my runners were anywhere to be found after turning for home.

It was a fun weekend, I just didn't get any of the little breaks I needed to cash some tickets.

Dude... Made a mistake calling it Oaklawn instead of Oaktree. Check the ticket vs the horses running that day.. Good catch bringing it up though. I recommend you spend half the time handicapping as you do posting nonsense and researching others past posts to find mistakes....
