much better they spend their time throwing poo.

the more time they spend on this subject, the less time they have to think up something that matters.

i'll take the weak opponent anytime.

It is a fact that politicians shake many hands. Sometimes those hands arent so clean and if you think bush 1 or 2, clinton, reagan, nixon were any different...i dont know what to tell you.

I never said that previous leaders havent , I was stating a fact as Mr Obama states , he has never known anything about anything that anybody he has ever known has ever done anything shifty ever.

I'd want to distance myself from Blago as much as possible, but it's hard to believe that something wasn't said at all about it (either by himself, or by someone else on his behalf). The problem is that his people, hopefully not him, are going to end up right in the middle of it.

From what I got in the indictment, person #1, a female, I figure is Valerie Jarrett. If so (which I don't know 100% for certain), Obama wanted her to fill his seat, which would be perfectly fine. That's why Blago went off and was so upset that Obama, or someone talking to him on Obama's behalf, didn't want to pay to put her in (which is a good thing on Obama's part, and Blago being ticked at him for it is a very good thing for Barack... because that means Barack didn't want to be a part of the pay to play scheme). It also wouldn't have made Axelrod contradict himself, which makes it be that either Barack or Axelrod's not telling the truth... which my $$ would be on Axelrod.
He also could have said, if it were true, that he himself didn't talk to Blago, but had someone talk to him on his behalf.... which if true, would put even more distance between them, as he would only communicate to him thru one of his people and didn't want to have anything to do with him, as I totally believe he had to know about the firestorm about to hit Blago ahead of time.

This guy has had a felon be his 2nd largest supporter. A Racist minister (only reason not large print is the argument African Americans can't be prejudice) not mentioning AYERS who said Obama was a good family friend while Obama can barely remember him?

So you do you hope he fails? Is there anything that he could do to convince you that he is an honorable man? Any chance that in four years that you would vote for him?

The only concert that beat Billy that summer was Alice in Chains , Del-Mar since then has had crap except for Gavin Rosdale.

I shoud say 'Racist' meaning he hates white people. That might be 'progressive' now.

I figure as an avowed left winger I should say something here, though I have not been as active lately in this room.

I find this Blago drama a little disconcerting. I think it sure is good that Blago called Obama a motherfocker because Barack only offered "gratitude", but that brings up the question of Obama's communications regarding the Senate seat. Looks like a pretty sleazy playground Obama grew up in there in the Chicago political landscape, Obama must be a crafty motherfocker in order to have played his way to the top.

Those of you who thought Obama was too naive to be President and wasn't tough enough should be heartened by all of this.

But, please, let's do away with all the theories that Obama is a Muslim extremist or a crack smoking fag if we're going to jump on this new idea that Obama is one of the good old boys from white Chicago land politics. I think the first two theories I mention are foolish, but this sleaziest, baddest motherfocker in the sandbox thing might have merit regarding Obama

I'm curious as to how Jesse Jackson Jr. is going to come out of this, seems like Blago couldn't have been so delusional that he was imaging a spokesperson for Jackson was offering up a million bucks.

I've been reading the "other side" of the news reports( NY Post, Drudge Report) on this to try to get both sides and find the commonalities. I sure don't like that Axelrod has now said he "misspoke" a few months back regarding whether or not Obama had conversations with Blago over the vacant seat.

What the hell does "misspoke" mean, anyways? If not lying, does it mean the speaker was just talking out his ass, drugged or delusional?

One question I have: What happens if something should happen to Obama before the Inauguration? Does Biden automatically become the next President?

You are absolutely 100% correct. If something happens to Obama, then Biden will become the next President.

Interesting to find out on the local news last night that Blago's wife was the one that sold Obama/Rezko, the property that Obama's house is on. Knew Rezko was in on it, but didn't know Blago's wife was in on it too.
