a list of the most intolerant from a U.S. government panel published by CNN

Myanmar, North Korea, Eritrea, Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, Pakistan, China, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam.

those on the watch list

Afghanistan, Belarus, Cuba, Egypt, Indonesia, Laos, Russia, Somalia, Tajikistan, Turkey, and Venezuela.

So although not exclusive to Muslims they are well represented among the elite. Hope you notice the oddity of countries where the Judeo Christian faith is predominant are missing from the list.

PS Thanks for the softball pitch Riot

"Softball pitch"? You didn't support your contention. You said, "It is and it's a shame that the same [religious freedom] doesn't exist in the vast majority of Muslim countries. Some in those countries aren't just vocally intolerant but will cut your head off kind of intolerant."

It's nice that you googled a list of thirteen religiously intolerant countries. But we were talking only about Muslim countries. A significant portion of the countries you listed are not Muslim.

Maybe you could support your contention? List the Muslim countries of the world, then out of that list, show that "the vast majority" (which ones) are religiously intolerant, and then the ones that will cut off your head kind of intolerant?

PS - if you just want to go on a "Muslims suck!" rant, skip the trouble, and just say it.

.
I don't think that is necessary. The answer is all to the first question (using the U.S. religious tolerance as a guide line) and few but they do exist for cut your head off intolerant countries. I though don't believe everything Jimmy Carter writes.

Especially with the last 4 races still to 'cap at Toga.

And I'm sorry you think that we as a country are so intolerant because in realty we're not.

LOL - I don't think that and never said anything close to it. "We as a country" seem generally very tolerant of others.

It's just a small minority of Americans that seem to freak out about those different from themselves.

Thankfully though they don't 'freak out' by flying planes into buildings and beheading those different than themselves in the name of God.

No, some of them just shoot and kill other Americans, in the name of God.

A terrorist is a terrorist. Even if he's a home-grown USA Christian.

All Muslims are not terrorists. All Christians are not terrorists.

Those US Christian Terrorists camps are popping up on every corner and it's daily I hear death to (Anyone?) chanted in the streets and on the Christian dominated government radio and TV. For the first time in history all the Christian factions have come together?

And all along I didn't see what they were doing.

So what do you think about what the Muslim population has been doing in Iran, especially today?

I was talking about the uprisings in Iran against their "elected" dictator. These young people do not hate the United States. These are people who begged the US for help in their uprising.

Of course, it could have all been a ruse to get us into their country, so they could behead us.

The US has "helped" many peoples that didn't like us despite their pleas for help. The opposition leader in Iran is no friend of the US.

He's no "democratic" leader, either. My point was what many of the Muslim community in that country are like. Because they are all alike, you know.

A teacher asked her 6th grade class how many of them were Obama fans. Not really knowing what an Obama fan is, but wanting to be liked by the teacher, all the kids raised their hands except for little Johnny.
The teacher asked Little Johnny why he has decided to be different.
Little Johnny said, ‘Because I’m not an Obama fan.’
The teacher asked, ‘Why aren’t you an Obama fan?’
Johnny said, ‘Because I’m a Republican.’
The teacher asked him why he’s a Republican.
Little Johnny answered, ‘Well, my Mom’s a Republican and my Dad’s a Republican, so I’m a Republican.’
Annoyed by this answer, the teacher asked, ‘If your mom was a moron and your dad was an idiot, what would that make you?’
With a big smile, Little Johnny replied, ‘That would make me an Obama fan.

Does he have any real supporters? Or just a nation of Bush haters who would've voted for a kitchen appliance against the Republican? The guy campaigned basically saying nothing except the word change. Amazing that would be enough to be elected to the most powerful position in the world.
