Gomez is trying a new circuit. He will slump more than JV or Edgar because he doesnt have the relationships that those guys do. All things considered i think Gomez is doing better than expected. He is certainly doing better than YOU predicted. |

He is two winners away from second place and one winner away from third. He is riding at a 17% clip for the meet and has won over a million dollars there. Not too shabby at the toughest meet in the country. |

He rode well today, thats for sure. He has days of brilliance, no doubt. In all fairness....a trained chimp could have won on Wait A While today. |

I'm not writing him off either. Guess who was in the irons on Stevie Ray Gone? I just wish he'd ride more consistantly. Somebody said there's a big difference between a rider who reads the form and a "reflex rider" that responds to things once they happen. If he put BOTH styles together he'd be a great. |

The really smart thing that he did was when they passed the stands the first time. He let the horse outside of him have the lead and then he quickly got off the rail and went outside of her. That was the proper thing to do. |

![]() People face it, the east coasters cant stand that a west coast boy is coming into their back yard and is handing it to them. Just think how much better he will be next year.
