Succession order to the president:

2 Speaker of the House---Nancy Pelosi
3 President pro tempore of the Senate---Robert Byrd
4 Secretary of State---Hillary Clinton
5 Secretary of the Treasury---Timothy Geithner
6 Secretary of Defense---Robert Gates
7 Attorney General---Eric Holder
8 Secretary of the Interior---Ken Salazar
9 Secretary of Agriculture---Tom Vilsack
10 Secretary of Commerce---Gary Locke
11 Secretary of Labor---Hilda Solis
12 Secretary of Health and Human Services---Kathleen Sebelius
13 Secretary of Housing and Urban Development---Shaun Donovan
14 Secretary of Transportation---Ray LaHood
15 Secretary of Energy---Steven Chu
16 Secretary of Education---Arne Duncan
17 Secretary of Veterans Affairs---Eric Shinseki
18 Secretary of Homeland Security---Janet Napolitano

I assume that people of all political persuasions can come together and agree that the thought of Robert Byrd being president is beyond scary.

Yep. That's what you need--a democrat governor. You deserve no less. Californians have elected a strongly democratic controlled legislature for practically all of the past 40 years. No Republican governor will get much done in that atmosphere. The max marginal tax rate will rise to around 60% after ObamaCare takes full effect. Perhaps a democrat governor could get those rates even higher and run out what's left of the meager remnants of businesses that once thrived aplenty in The Golden State.

I use to live in California for a short time in the beautiful Newport Beach area, but could not wait to get out. It took a few years but I finally escaped. That's the beauty of state's rights. If a state has policies you don't agree with, you can move. That is not possible with federal programs like ObamaCare. States that tried gov run health care found the programs became insolvent over time. How anyone could believe it will work at the national level is beyond me. I guess some folks believe that if you pile bull$hit high enough and deep enough, it ain't bull$hit no more.

LOL - Or not

The angry and hateful are just going to have to melt down completely (see the idiot citizens flinging racial slurs and gay-bashing our elected officials in the halls of Congress yesterday - disgusting and embarassing for America) or suffer living with what the electoral majority wants.

This basic start towards healthcare reform is a great day for this country

"Mr. Obama is willing to devour his presidency, his party's congressional majority and - most disturbing - our democratic institutional safeguards to enact it. He is a reckless ideologue who is willing to sacrifice the country's stability in pursuit of a socialist utopia."

outside of the preposterous assertion that it's an impeachable offense to sign a law passed by congress, this was my favorite part.

you can almost hear the volume going up to 11.

O'Dumbass could care less about this country. He is going to get his say no matter what the people want. He will also do it at the expense of his Democratic party members. I have not seen as much dealing as this SOB has done to get his health reform bill to pass. I thought this was a Democratic society where the people have a choice. I guess it wont this as long as this bastard is President. Hope he enjoys having the majority for now. It might be a different story in November. He is having a rough time getting a bill to pass and he has the numbers on his side. Going to be interesting when he doest have the numbers. Im sure he will veto every bill the Republicans sponser if the Republicans are the majority. This will be his way of saying f you for the way the Republicans voted on the Health reform bill. Where is the money going to come from for this health reform bill? Im sure O'Dumbass will might take the executive order for the abortion part of the bill and Make Stupak look like the dumbass that he is. If O'Dumbass gets impeached Pelosi and Reid should not too far behind him. Maybe the three of them can get impeached at the same time.

you're off message timm.

no republican is denying the slurs happened.

the play is alleging that libs and msm are distracting from the real tragedy of socialism being imposed on an unwilling public.

get with it.

the funny thing is that by the time november rolls around, i doubt this bill is an issue in many districts. some first term dem's from conservative districts may lose their seats because of their vote in favor of this bill. a handful at most.

i don't do political astrology often but it's really a no brainer to say that the economy in september/october will have more to do with the composition of the house in 2011 than anyones vote on this bill.

watch how quickly this disappears as a national issue after the vote.

i wasn't able to find a link on youtube but i may not have the right keywords. what video are you talking about? did someone follow john lewis through the crowd with a video camera?

all i saw were the republican's on c-span saying the comment's from the crowd were reprehensible and didn't represent them.
