![]() Answer this; How come when Russell Baze a.k.a Baze Meadow or Russell Gate Field showed up in BC or triple crown races he did nothing? Hell I recall several top notch horses he had mounts on did absolutely nothing. Before Ron Hansen was found on the rocks below the Golden Gate bridge. Baze was just racking up wins on the fair circuit and low level 5k claimers. I will always have a lack of understanding how this guy made it into the Hall of Fame. Then again, this was the first year you did not have to pick one from each category.
