but the lady a couple days ago-when the initial story came out, she claimed to have run off the road into a lake, and couldn't get her two boys out. i skimmed over the first couple lines of the article and told my husband she killed them. sure enough, she confessed. strangled them at home, and then put them in the car.

Lemak was a NURSE and killed her kids admittedly beause she wanted to get back at her husband, a Dr. Doesn't get much worse than that and this woman is not being punished IMO

the stories you cited are why i can't understand why so many get so much time in jail for drug crimes, white collar crimes, non-violent crimes, while violent criminals are let loose too soon, with jail crowding cited as the reason.

at least in Il there is no one doing huge time for non-violent drug crimes. I believe I read somewhere the average time one serves for a murder concivtion in IL is in the neighborhood of 18 years. When a Judge gives someone 30 years he knows he will be out in 15.

I suspect you are talking about the Federal system.
