Dominguez rides for both those guys and chose Strike a Deal??

IMO, there is no way Gomez is getting off Telling, a multiple G1 winner, for a non-stakes winner unless he thinks the horse can run decent in this spot, Hobby would have never made that change as in the time he was at Arlington, he would stick with specific riders to no end. Note that Grassy has one good soft performance also.

Yeah, it's real far-fetched that Dominguez would choose a multiple G2 winner over a dreadfully disappointing Clement allowance horse who just got crushed by this same field with no excuse. There are plenty of scenarios where Gomez could've lost the mount on Telling and no plausible one where he chose Grassy. He's got no competitive race.

It's highly likely that Castellano was Hobby's guy but he was committed to Chad Brown for the Sword Dancer.

I don't read much into the jockey moves on either horse. Telling seems to be a one track wonder and Grassy is awful.

I don't understand why they keep running Grassy in these races.

Much less why anybody would keep betting on him.

He stinks.

It is gonna cost me an additional $3 to use him on my P3 ticket that I am playing, so I'll spend an additional $30 total on him. I will take Gomez at 15/1 on a horse that just worked pretty good over the lawn, and has some prior off turf form. Especially when that additional $3 makes him 150-200/1 in the P3's.

By all means, but spending $30 on a horse in a G1 because he has a good turf workout and won a slow soft turf race in a six-horse photo over a year ago just seems like wasted money to me.

If so, I think Never On Sunday for Biancone has a chance at 12/1.

Useless information but he has the distinction of giving Goldikova the biggest beating of her life last year

Treat Gently is an interesting entry in the turf classic.

It's just a distance thing. . . and a bad idea. She would need everyone else to fall over.

Maybe not Grassy.

Yet Big Drama and Discreetly Mine both skip this race and either would be a heavy favorite. I guess there are other Grade 1 $350K dirt sprints out there.

Agreed. Without Majesticperfection this is some division.

It would just be a perfect way to sum up the putrid state of the sprint division for Rudy Rodriguez to win the Vosburgh with a horse he claimed for 7.5k on Gotham day.

Anybody notice that Fly Down was purchased privately after the Travers? I wonder if he's Saudi Arabia bound after the BC.

He may win, and oh well if he does, but I think Paddy O Prado is an excellent bet against... especially if he takes more money than the ML.

Had been rumored all during Saratoga. Brought it up with Haskin on ATR Thursday. Has gone shockingly un-reported other than Jeff Lowe mentioning it in his TTimes preview. Surprised Grening hasn't gotten a blurb about it with more details. And certainly is logical to be headed to Saudi Arabia for the winter season.
