Ms. Caviar is going to have her next win on Saturday but why oh why do the owners of Melito insist on running their gir against her? Nice horse... wish they'd let her have a chance to win somewhere else. Maybe it's me.
Very nice yet short field with some old favs like Snipers Bullet and Black Piranha. Hay List, Buffering, Albert the Fat and No Evidence Needed round out the field. |

She's amazing.
Remember that Hay List is an outstanding horse himself - 14 wins from 20 starts. So it wasn't some hideously low-class field, even though she made it look like one! |

Wow - Black Caviar and Hay List are both simply outstanding. And the rest of the field are not slouches! The best male and best female sprinter in the world, head to head repeatedly.
Frankly - I think he kept Black Caviar in the center, away from moving over and challenging Hay List directly on the rail coming up behind him, as (first, she didn't need a challenge to respond) but secondly to help avoid breaking Hay List's heart with another lost challenge. I anthropomorphize, I'm sure - it was nice to see the two jocks exchange a high-five after the winning post. I can't believe Black Caviar paid $2.80 to win - the public can't believe she can keep it up, and bet Hay List more heavily this time.

VERY nice!
What's up with Culminate? Not sure about over there but I noticed the morning line on her was 50/1 last night (I'm sure it didn't up being so high, but still...)... |

Her form has been a bit inconsistent lately. But she ran really well for 4th in that G2 race. Hopefully she'll be back to her best soon.

I hope so.
* * * How do you feel about this? I know they're doing right by her but still... do you wish she'd go? http://www.thoroughbrednews.com.au/s....aspx?id=53532 * * * On Snow Fairy... http://www.edunlop.com/horses-in-training.php?id=110 |

It would have been nice to see her run, but I think it was the right decision. It sounds like it will be a wet track on Saturday, so it might be a tough race. And she's had 10 races this season already.
So I'm happy they're giving her a break and then bringing her back for the big ones in Melbourne. Can't wait to see Snow Fairy back! |
