, yeah actually in the UK/Wales it might be referred to Bangor-on-Dee. Oh no, I almost afraid where you could go with that.

It's a unique track for the UK, as it has no grandstand. It would resemble many of our NSA hunt meets. Great punting day as there was a major speed bias that I could exploit. But the best part was the gift I got in the 6th race. The jock on the front end dropped his hands in the last 100 yards and my guy got him on the line. If interested, here's a link to the race: http://horses.sportinglife.com/Video/Racing/ , go to Nov 10, 15:40 race and click on "Closing Stages".

Gilgandra was a fun, grassroots Aussie meet. The outriders had to chase a few wallabies off the track before one of the races.

Charlotte (Queen's Cup) is on the NSA circuit. The grandstand-like viewing area is beautifully terraced and had excellent sight lines for viewing. Great day to go racing, albeit there is no wagering.

I enjoyed returning to Monmouth Park. I hadn't been there in over 20 years. I went to the mixed meet in September and it was an excellent day of racing.

On the UK visit, I was thrilled to have the chance to make it back to Cheltenham. Cheltenham is in my top 5 world tracks visited (of 291) and its level of jump racing is first-class. Weather-wise, it was a typical rainy/windy UK day, but the racing was still fantastic.

Gulfstream on the radar for Feb., then ditto the list and all will be good. A trip to Belmont for a run at the triple crown maybe?

Favorite track: Still Toga in a landslide!

I'm envious of you East Coast players! This is a lite year? I should be so lucky!

Went to the usual:
Santa Anita
Hollywood Park
Del Mar

For the first time in quite awhile I went at least twice to each track. I plan on adding Turf Paradise to the list in 2011.

In retrospect I guess it has been an OK year for track visits. Just seemed lite as I have not been able to attend live racing since early August. Missed trips to FLA, KY, IL and CA this year. We'll do better in 2011.
