They've been doing that slamming crap to her all year. She's tough and I hope she does win it. Either girl would be a nice winner.

Yeah, the "we're only being so critical cause we know you can do better" stuff is old...I realize Randy and JLo are well qualified to be judges but so is Steven and he found absolutely nothing wrong with her performances. At this stage negative comments from judges can easily be the difference between going on to the next round and going home...you are right, she is tough and comes back strong. Hopefully she will face a level playing field next week and move on to the finals.

Final three night and each performer did three songs...still think Randy and JLo have it in for Haley, judges picked last song for each and Scotty and Lauren were given songs right in their wheelhouse while Haley was given an almost impossible song to nail...but she did! She got the only standing ovation of the night after her first song, Randy actually calling it her best of the season and all three judges gave her round one. She did Stevie Nix in round two and was every bit as witchy as Stevie ever was. Lauren got lost in the middle of her song and missed a couple notes in round two, she rebounded with a really nice round three performance. I thought Scotty was good but not outstanding in all three rounds. I know that I've been a massive Haley fan throughout but I really feel she won the night easily...Lauren and Scotty could go either way for the second spot in the finals. At this point, it comes down to the size of each performers fan base as voters are locked in to their favorite by now so we'll see tomorrow night.

Final three results: Lauren and Scotty in finals, Haley sent home. Lauren (aged 16) and Scotty (aged 17) youngest pair of finalists in Idol history. Both primarily country singers, Lauren from Georgia, Scotty from North Carolina (each from small towns). I still feel Haley was the best of the three but over 90 million voters say otherwise. Best wishes to both kids, one thing for sure...they are both good folk.

Little Matt needs Scotty, to win an American Idol pool. Between that, winning 11 bucks on his birthday scratch-offs and having Animal Kingdonm in the derby, I'm ready to admit that he's already a better gambler than me and he's only 8.

Rise above the money. Lauren is a must.

It might as well be Nashville Star.
Lauren is going to be a land monster. Only 16 and that big? Her voice isn't strong and, to me, it seems like they think she's the second coming of Tricia Yearwood. She's big like her...that's about it. Scotty looks like a cross between Dubya and Alfred E. Newman and he holds the microphone like he's got cerebral palsy. This show is done. |

Thanks Randall.
At 16 she can only get bigger...as in fat. Carrie Underwood is petite. This girl is a McGriddle away from Wynonna. They seemed to be pushing Haley the past couple of weeks and for good reason. She's smoking hot. |

Oh she is going to be a big big girl for sure but big girls need love too....Plus, she mirrors the majority of America. It is American Idol. I thought Hailey had an attitude and screamed too much.

Yeah but she's not going to be successful like Carrie Underwood. She'll be like Ruben Studdard.

No way Studdard. More like Archuleta maybe. B- success.

Scotty is much more vulnerable than you would believe. Older people will vote tonight and cancel out the teen girl vote.
"Yahoo! looks at geographic searches, demographic searches and overall searches to project a leader in the American Idol race. Searches for “American Idol finalists” have spiked 949% this week. If searches are any indication of a winner this year, Scott McCreery has quite the race ahead of him against Lauren Alaina -- Lauren Alaina gets nearly 9 times the searches of Scott McCreery on Yahoo!, based on data from the past 7 days." |

I really can't decide until I hear tonight's performances, both are good but neither can hold a candle to Haley in my opinion....but that the choice we have. I admit Lauren is rather big boned and carries a little weight especially for 16 but if you look at past winners, they tend to look a whole lot better after winning/competing on the show....take Jordin Sparks for example, she was heavy set when she won and when she performed a couple weeks ago, she has transformed into a smokin' hot chick.
