Default Flower Alley's progeny

I hate to let the facts get in the way of a good story.

There is no doubt.

One good horse doesn't do a lot for a Sire.
I don't think breeders were lining up to breed to Concorde's Tune this Winter because he got a BC winner last year. (Musical Romance)

I'm just saying, and I don't despise Flower Alley, but a Melnyk horse trained by Pletcher wasn't getting a bunch of NJ-breds sent to him in his first two crops.

That was inevitable, that you would respond with that. You know as well as everyone else knows, that filly wasn't much, and her 'g1' win was a joke.

But, okay, I'll give you that one. What else has he sired?

Absolutely, barring a legitimate injury. I highly doubt there will be a strained tail hair retirement on this one.

I don't really care what you think they will do with him either.

I will say that at least a few of the recent potential Triple Crown horses aren't exactly by a murderer's row of stallions. Our Emblem? Silver Buck? Boundary, anyone? Name his second best horse.

Quiet American is OK, I guess. Distorted Humor and Elusive Quality speak for themselves.

I'll care if Sheikh Mo buys him.

I find it hard to believe that, if he wins the Belmont Stakes, he won't be a hot item at stud. The marketability of his first crop as the sons/daughters of the first Triple Crown winner in 30+ years is pretty hard to pass-up. I think that offsets any question marks about his ability to become the next big sire in the short term.
