I hate to let the facts get in the way of a good story. |

One good horse doesn't do a lot for a Sire. I don't think breeders were lining up to breed to Concorde's Tune this Winter because he got a BC winner last year. (Musical Romance) |

![]() I'm just saying, and I don't despise Flower Alley, but a Melnyk horse trained by Pletcher wasn't getting a bunch of NJ-breds sent to him in his first two crops.

![]() Absolutely, barring a legitimate injury. I highly doubt there will be a strained tail hair retirement on this one.

![]() I will say that at least a few of the recent potential Triple Crown horses aren't exactly by a murderer's row of stallions. Our Emblem? Silver Buck? Boundary, anyone? Name his second best horse.
Quiet American is OK, I guess. Distorted Humor and Elusive Quality speak for themselves.

![]() I find it hard to believe that, if he wins the Belmont Stakes, he won't be a hot item at stud. The marketability of his first crop as the sons/daughters of the first Triple Crown winner in 30+ years is pretty hard to pass-up. I think that offsets any question marks about his ability to become the next big sire in the short term.
