He's not better than Cam Newton.

And Cam Newton isn't some outrageously good quarterback in the pros.

Too risky.

Late first rounder maybe.

He's not like Russell in the sense of having a few good games at the right time of year, thus sky rocketing up the draft boards. He would've been a top 10 pick in this year's draft and will be again in next year's too.

He would benefit tremendously from a large boot being inserted into his ass from someone in his camp. Those things tend not to happen though.

I wonder if this would even be a story at all if he weren't dragged into the rape scandal/money grab last year.

I, for one, am eager to see how well he does in the league.
dragged into? he was the suspect. that's not the only incident besides his behavior a few days back that led to a whopping half game suspension.
but, it is fsu..where starters who get drastically reduced prices on clothing get no punishment, and non starters get kicked off the team.

I never said I love him at the next level. I just said he is a top pick. These guys like Kiper live and breath the draft. When are they ever off by more then 10 picks. He is 4th right now on ESPN. If he comes back next year, improves and has no more dumb trouble he is #1.

He's not coming back to FSU next year. He would have to attend classes in order to do that.

ESPN has him 4th overall. And this is right now.http://espn.go.com/nfl/draft

He needs to grow up, I agree. But the only thing outrageous is you saying you cant see a slam dunk top 10 pick not getting drafted at all.
Sorry. I guess I am too caught up in the last 2 weeks and am giving the NFL too much credit vis a vis players with character issues.

I think he's an above-average country bumpkin who is a severe sociopath.

It's not going to end well for him. Even if he has a successful career in the pros he will be broke 5 years after his retirement.

He isn't responsible.

Im with you in that sense. Hes an ass and Im not saying I like him as a pro, thats just where they project him. They are usually pretty close.

He's a liar too.

I vividly remember him making the excuse that fans were hounding him at Publix so he got out of there and forgot to pay.

Utter bullshit. Credibility gone.

Now I'd have to do a deeper search for his quote/excuse after this incident. It seems most of the original stories on this incident have been conveniently scrubbed.

But I don't forget.
