Perhaps our "friends" in the desert are thinking they would like two horses of the year and won't let Bernie get in DC's path next year.

My guess is, given his record of only 5 races so far and obvious health problems, that DC will be all through before the real racing in 2007 begins.

There you go again with your racist nonesense..

You say, "No human decency..." Yeah right,

Your problem is that the Arabs are actually doing well in the sport you love.

You hate so much, you can't stand their success.

Pretty lame....makes me root against this horse and every horse they have.
The anti-Arab racing thing is getting old.

Why in the world is it worthy of your enmity that they move the colt to stud?

It's their horse, not yours, and if they feel it's right to retire him, so be it.

Criticize the decision all you want rationally, but why not leave the anti-Arab thing alone for a while?

Find one " anti-arab " comment I have made before calling me a bigot you swine.

And my posts are objectionable?

How much of that $57 million or however much they spent at Keeneland in horseflesh do you think we will be seeing here? If the past few years are any indication, very little.
So true.....Kick 'em out of Keeneland

I am hardly anti-Arab, I am anti-despot however! Where do you think all that money used to buy horses comes from??? I have family in the region and lived with them for a time...you want to believe these folks are "good guys" try living under their rule for awhile! I am just as much against white, black or oriental despots!!

I think we are going to see MANY from the sale racing here on US soil. Sheikh Maktoum is buying American-types in hopes of winning the American classics. An example is the colt Vindication/Serena's Tune.

When greatness is there, it's there whether u get to see it for five races or 50. I'm not saying whether u have to believe that Bernardini is an all-time great but what I am saying is that if he did what he's been doing for another 20 races and u would proclaim him great at that point, then the talent is there now for u to call him great because if it wasn't already there now, he wouldn't be able to do it in the future. It's my feeling that more races would only confirm further to the non-believers what the believers already know.
I don't think we can attach the word "brilliance" or "greatness" to Len Bias or any other top of the line college player who never plays a game in the pros. There's been too many so-called "great" college players who were anything but when they tried the next level. We'll never know if Bias would've been great, or a bust.

That's ridiculous. They clearly are NOT sporting and are only in it to feed their massive egos. They are the ones who drive up the yearling prices by overpaying for the likes of TGM. I'll be hoping Bernardini finishes off the board in the Classic.

Perhaps that's true. But I've heard it from some people who's authority I greatly respect that he was the real deal.

There is more to the Green Monkey story than what meets the eye...

S2s,
I kinda understand what you're saying.
Seems to me that some folks have much more of a problem with the owners than the horse.
Maybe they're unable to make the distinction.

btw...I also hate disguised racism.

I seriously didn't see ANY racism on this thread whatsoever... it's a hatred for what they are doing to the racing industry.

Never did I say that.
If that's what you read, go back and reread my post.
I never mentioned a name.
Am I to blame for something you thought you heard me say?

Let's see, you agreed with a poster who called me a racist with absolutely no cause whatsoever. You did this, mind you, to someone who made only one post in the thread....which was directed towards me. What inference would you like me to make.

After that you stated " I also hate disguised racism ".

Yeah, yer right, you said nothing to lead me to my response.

Amazing stuff.

I'm assuming he thought that "btw" meant "Blackthroatedwind" and not "by the way." I thought the same thing...

I meant btw as "by the way".
I'm not backing down from my stand against racism.
If you took what I said in the wrong way, that's why I said you needed to read it again.

Actually I did not, I knew he meant " by the way ", but as he was responding, in agreement, to the one post in this thread by that slime, one where he called me a racist with absolutely no justification whatsoever, and now with typical internet cowardice simply refuses to acknowledge what he did, I felt it was fair to say he was agreeing with him...considering he basically said " I know where you're coming from buddy ".

Just more of the same. No accountability on the internet.
