Which pays more the early or late pick 4?
This has become a game of predict who has the golden needle. There's no fun in that. And I'd rather take a risk and not include chalk in a pick 4 sequence. Long-term the chalk eater isn't going to turn a profit hitting $60 pick 4s. The only problem is these owners and trainers are mostly cowards that only care about the easiest race possible. Thus resulting in small fields and very little value. It's getting to the point that playing the lottery is a better option. These attempts to add low minimum multi-race wagers at a lower takeout really only perpetuates the problem. The races have to consistently be somewhat competitive in order for long-term interest. If that means taking a few trainers headfirst through the door and throwing them off the grounds...so be it. |

Tough beat, knicks.
My pick 4 picks hit the late double for a nice return. Unfortunately I got $0 out of it. |
